Saturday greetings folks. Kinda useless getting up at 0400 this time of year but the internal clock is set for summer time activities and isn't easy to change. Starting the 5 miler about 0530 in the dark.

On hold with insurance auto insurance company that owes me $129 for a policy I canceled a month ago when I changed insurance. Not much money to worry about but damn.. I'd rather chew on aluminum foil than dealing with insurance companies.

Nice clear skies here in Northern MA, a nice day to be outside. It's leaf pepping season (folks that tour the New England area to take pictures of the foliage) and apple picking season. Gonna take my son's car to get some new shoes (tires) today. Gonna put some snow tires on it before the snow falls. It's a little early but I'd rather do it now then later. It also time for a safety/emissions sticker for it. Kill two birds with one stone thingy.

Ran into a neighbor yesterday when he was outside with a new puppy. He's house training it to do it's business outside. Cute dog, Pit bull mix that he adopted from the shelter. They have a little adult dog (I don't know the mix but it's about the size of a cat). The little dog was establishing itself as an alpha male. It was fun to watch the interaction.

"This is how it works, pup... as long as I'm alive, I run the show." (my best dog translation).

We bought 1/4 of a cow at the beginning of October, from a farmer a county over. He informed us yesterday that it came out to 134.4 pounds based on its hanging weight. It's been processed and packaged. We're supposed to pick it up Monday evening. Gonna have plenty of steaks, roasts and burger.

Also, my brother is coming up in November to deer hunt. I'll prolly hunt too, this year. Last year the wife and I assembled our large shed during most of deer firearm season...
Still thinking about purchasing a crossbow for those nuisance deer during the growing season. Need something a little more stealth for those situations.

So many bad decisions in my younger years were preceeded by Everclear consumption. That was my go-to bottle when I was underage and would pay a crackhead to get it for me. He always hung out near the liquor store and would buy for us and keep the change. $25 bucks to Richie, got a bottle that can get my friends and I drunk multiple times.
