Any of you folks in Florida and the Southwest seeing any of this? The article says home prices are already going down in many flood prone areas and insurance prices are going up as much as 80%.

Same chit out west in fire country.
Insurance companies are not here to protect us.
They here to make money.

Hey everyone...
Please DO NOT MOVE TO CENTRAL PA..
WHERE ALMOST NOTHING EVER HAPPENS...
EXCEPT **** FROM NY, NJ, D.C., CT, ARE COMING AFTER THEY SELL THEIR $1-3 MILLION DOLLAR HUTS...

MY TOWNSHIP IS SO OVER CROWDED THAT THE ROADS ARE A NIGHTMARE ON STEROIDS!!!
2 LANE ROADS THAT TURN INTO PARKING LOTS...

I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN...

the one...and only solution is to build huts out of flood zones and fire proof bunkers that will resist any fire whatsoever...
Those huts will cost double a normal hut...

No more " on the beach huts" either...
Or u get no insurance from the private insurance sector or the govt..

It has to stop...
My home insurance went from $1657 to $2,250 from last yr, no claims..

Yup! Most people in AZ are from somewhere else and it gets old listening to all the "the way we did it back home".

I'd consider moving back to California if all the non native people were gone, I'm not at all considered about that ever happing however. 😣

FWIW, We have lived and visited all across the country and avoid bitching to locals about anything, no matter where you go, it's some one's home, don't be a bad guest.

Florida has been problematic for insurance for many years. Many companies have stopped issuing policies and the remaining ones keep jacking up the cost, causing some to go without insurance. Was there ever a year when no hurricanes made landfall ?

Google says one storm about every three years. But increasing lately.

Sounds like they aren’t paying enough taxes to change the weather.

I remember when Twinkies started shrinking but at least the taste was still the same.

Don’t tell me they started making them healthier, thereby making them taste like cardboard. [gonzo]

Never heard of Susie Q’s…except for the song.
