96 Chevy half ton. Single cab short bed. Body's mint. Never stored outdoors for long. Hasn't seen a Chicago winter since 2010 either.

Definitely needs all wear items. It's not gonna be a quick easy job. 180k on the odometer too. Nothing I can't do but it's never been a priority since I had free storage.

My biggest worry is rodents getting at it once it's moved here. I stored one of my racecars out back under a hastily built wood frame with a tarp stapled over it and in two winters the critters chewed the chit out of it. I can't really build a permanent structure for it because of barn plans, so I think a VersaTube carport is my best option. Not fully enclosed so critters seek shelter, but covered from snow and acorns and black walnuts falling on it. And then when I do build the barn or the truck is gone, I can move the carport and repurpose it as a woodshed.

Alarm system/cameras are fully operational. All the doors and windows have sensors on them, and they needed to be ported over to the new system. Easy peasy.

My doorbell has a spooky organ sound for halloween... I got a yuge bag of good candy... and I haven't eaten any of them. 😇

we have a couple yuge bags of candy...both unopened...and will stay that way until October 31, 6pm, or whenever the T or T's show up.

This is a bad time of year for me. Usually have my physical end of Nov, or start of Dec, and have to have my blood labs done. It's tough to keep my blood sugars in check with all the goodies and special treats and holiday meals...a little bit o restraint/discipline goes a long way...but I don't dare to change the timing because the consequences could be disastrous.

Yeah, Al... it seems we have to keep a real close eye on our health when we're older... because we never did when we were younger. 🤦
