Pleasant weather here in the Green Bay area. Gonna do some fall backyard clean up at my folks house. Blow some leaves and stuff to put a winter leaf blanket on the raised beds and flower beds. See if their mower will start up to mulch the leaves but it's a 50/50 chance. They have a local neighbor kid that comes over to mow the lawn so I don't think their mower has fired up in a few years. Doesn't hurt to try - I'll give it a 50/50 chance... better than Vegas odds.

Well... walking the 3 miles each morning with Tank, along with some weight lifting 3-4 times a week, and doing my best to stay away from sugar and seed oils... today's weigh in - 171.7 lbs.

Similar to MACS' regime. Four days a week instead of five; my body likes me better.
Continually trying to go up in weight.

Unsimilar to MACS, am watching Everton v Fullham now.

Off to get a pizza in a little bit, with college football to finish the day.

Day started with a mechanic from the shop giving me a Saturday morning repair on his own time, verses the shop's rate with inflated labor times. Good dude.

$6/lb for 70/30 and up to $12/lb for 93/7...

But chuck roasts on sale for $4.

Just finished grinding up some chuck roasts, vac bagging and freezing 1lb packages.

Better meat at half the price.

Love me some chuck roast...

Brisket is on my agenda this afternoon. Every time I cook one my wife vacuum seals a few bags. Opened the freezer and saw some... thawed it out.

Good Sunday morning gents. I have been batching it the last two days while da wifey was in Minneapolis but she will be back today so I better clean up the empty beer cans and pizza boxes, etc.

First day back to work after almost 3 weeks out following the hernia surgery. Was actually starting to get stir-crazy at home and was looking forward to returning to work. Well, it took me less then 30 min to realize I don't want to be here anymore. Unfortunately, I still have about 3.5 years left.

Another successful party at the Cheno household, Halloween and make up bday party for the oldest. Had some fun costumes, and the party actually ended at 11pm earlier than most of our parties. The kids cleaned up their messes this morning and the house is back to normal, usually it takes us 2 days to recover with clean up and everything when we party to 3am.

wonder why my wife and I don't make/enjoy tuna casseroles any longer...useta be a regular meal choice about once a month years ago...been so long I've forgotten our recipe...

Built a carport, smoked some chickens, picked up my old project truck from dad's barn, helped him move a dead tractor, and now taking boy trickertreating.

Weekends are too short. Still need to mow the leaves tonight when we get back. At least the mower has headlights

Went fishing... did well. I'm tired.

It's later than I thought it was. The leaves can wait till after work tomorrow.

Rolled around under my truck for a minute just putting my lookers on all of it. Rear main is leaking. Tranny output shaft is leaking. U joints will need replaced. Hard lines aren't too bad but might as well redo all of them. Should probably drop the tranny off for a rebuild while it's out. She's got 180k on the clock. Rear drums are dragging. Kinda want to swap in rear discs, hopefully can do that easily with a complete junkyard axle if not there's plenty kits out there. Also gonna do shocks and pivot bushings. I'd like to drop the rear 2" to level it out too.

Cosmetically there's some rust that's set in over the years so there's gonna be rust repair and some paint. Some of the trim pieces need replacing or at least sanded and painted. Stupid chromed plastic coating always peels off. Window tint has turned purple and is full of ripples so that's gotta go. Both power mirrors have stripped out. Rear sliding window latch needs replaced or need to replace the window with a solid one.

Interior needs mostly just cleaning. I always wanted a bench seat but I don't know if the 60/40 split bench that came in the extended cab trucks will bolt in on a single cab. If it does, I want a bench in there. Stereo and speakers need replaced. Carpet is decent but stained, hopefully pulling it out and pressure washing it will be enough.

Under the hood is water pump, PS pump, hoses, AC compressor and stuff. Valve cover gasket on passenger side needs replaced. I'll do both and adjust valves while I'm in there.

Truck needed a jump but fired right up and drove 15 miles home without issue besides the dragging rear drums. They got a lil hot n smelly by the time I got home.

Gotta refill the bank account after buying the carport today and then can start throwing money at it. The boy's pretty excited, dunno how long that'll last when he learns how much work it actually takes to do these things. But I'll teach him how to do all of it. He's the reason the truck is here and not sold. He said he wanted it for his first vehicle. Which is also why I'm not as inclined to build it the way I wanted to build it but make it into a reliable daily.
