Earlier in the day Tuesday Biden's special envoy to the Middle East Amos Hochstein told reporters that he is working diligently on achieving a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. He expressed that this could be achieved soon and that the White House believes that "there is a shot" to secure a peace deal.

However, within hours after, President Biden contradicted him - in so many words - by shooting back angrily at a journalist who asked whether a deal related to Gaza or Lebanon is realistically achievable by the end of his term. The moment, which apparently Biden thought was not being filmed 'live' while sitting in the Oval Office is illustrative of just how "serious" Biden is about Middle East peace (...not very serious, considering his answer below).

Israeli White House correspondent for Israel's Channel 13 news Neria Kraus asked simply, "Do you think you can get a hostage deal by the end of your term?" His "joking" response was to essentially threaten her with bodily harm. This tells us everything we need to know about what Biden hopes to achieve during the rest of his lame-duck session. America's hostile and senile Commander-in-Chief is on full display here in this somewhat disturbing clip captured Tuesday...

Just yesterday, Joe Biden welcomed President-elect Donald Trump back to the White House to kick off the transition between the current and the future administrations.

There were kind words uttered on both sides.

“Well Mr. President-elect and former president, Donald, congratulations, and looking forward to having, like we said, a smooth transition. Welcome, welcome back,” said Biden.

Exclusive — Crescent Dunes: Biden DOJ Moved on Election Night to Cover Up Alleged Solar Energy Scandal that Cost Taxpayers Hundreds of Millions



Outgoing President Joe Biden’s Justice Department moved on election night on Nov. 5 to essentially ensure the cover-up of a potentially massive green energy scandal, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

This story has tentacles back through, not just the Biden administration, but all the way back to the Obama administration, and it could be something that jeopardizes the broader green energy agenda and the future of leftist solar projects on federal lands. At least one congresswoman is already formally pressing the DOJ for answers, and more members of Congress are likely to get involved soon. It could even have major implications for the incoming administration’s energy policy.

On Nov. 5, at 5:20 p.m. ET, less than an hour before the first polls closed and when it had become clear from the exit polls that Democrat presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris was likely to lose, an attorney with the Justice Department emailed lawyers for plaintiffs in a qui tam lawsuit aimed at recouping significant losses the taxpayers allegedly incurred from a failed solar plant in Nevada. A qui tam lawsuit is when a private plaintiff sues on behalf of the U.S. Government to recoup taxpayer dollars — often alleging fraud, misuse, or theft of taxpayer dollars.

The email from the DOJ stated what plaintiffs started hearing through the grapevine as the election neared and it became clear the Harris campaign was in trouble. The email said that the DOJ intended to dismiss a lawsuit that it had previously allowed to proceed, thereby undercutting the private push to recoup significant losses for American taxpayers.

“The United States intends to intervene in this case for the purpose of dismissing the qui tam claims under 31 U.S.C. 3730(c)(2)(A),” Anthony Gill, a trial lawyer for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Division Fraud Section, emailed attorneys for CMB Export, LLC, an EB-5 visa firm that had filed the qui tam lawsuit in question. “The United States has determined that dismissal is commensurate with the public interest and that the matter does not warrant the continued expenditure of government resources. The anticipated discovery and litigation obligations associated with the continued litigation of this case will impose an undue burden on the U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Department of Energy, and U.S. Department of Justice.”

“We intend to file our motion this week,” Gill added in the email, obtained by Breitbart News. “There is not more I can add to the United States’ decision to seek dismissal under 3730(c)(2)(A), but feel free to let us know if you have any questions.”

This decision was shocking to plaintiffs because it represented a major reversal of the position the very same Biden Justice Department had previously taken. The Justice Department had, after years of inexplicable delays, previously declined to intervene in the qui tam suit per a filing on June 1, 2023 — it took the Department years to finally get to this point — and then the case was unsealed finally on Jan. 24, 2024 — eleven months ago — after a battle on that front in court. In laymen’s terms, what the Justice Department formally declining to intervene in a qui tam suit and then the suit getting unsealed by the court means is the plaintiffs in the qui tam suit can proceed with litigation against the defendants.

This story begins back during Obama’s administration, when leftists and environmentalists supercharged a crazed push towards so-called renewable energy sources. The federal government under Obama backed what was called the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project with $737 million in guaranteed loans. The plant was a $1 billion project.

Ostensibly, what Crescent Dunes was building was a 1,600-acre plant in the Nevada desert designed to use mirrors to capture sunlight to heat molten salt in a giant tower to create energy. “The plant was supposed to generate clean energy using more than 10,000 mirrors to heat molten salt in a 640-foot-high tower,” the Las Vegas Review Journal wrote in a 2020 editorial about the project’s failures. “The superheated salt would then boil water, creating steam to produce power. Making this endeavor even more exciting was that salt was supposed to be able to store heat and produce electricity after sunset.”

Then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat from Nevada, had talked for years about making the Silver State “the Saudi Arabia of geothermal and solar energy.” This fit the bill. Reid, who has since retired and passed away, now has the Las Vegas airport named after him. While he is gone, the U.S. taxpayer is still allegedly out with what sources familiar with the details of the lawsuit say is more than $200 million, and could be as high as $700 million or even more depending on factors such as depreciation and loan guarantees.

The plant went into bankruptcy in 2020 after years of failing to return any profit, but as of 2021, it was reportedly operating again somewhat under a different ownership structure per a local news report from 8NewsNow in Nevada. That story detailed some of the problems with the technology as well.

“In addition to its struggles to turn a profit, the plant also was criticized because birds were dying in the intense heat produced by the panels. Some reports indicated that birds had burst into flames in mid-flight,” the 8NewsNow report from 2021 from a Las Vegas television station reads. “Another problem surrounded a report that workers were hospitalized after they were exposed to nitrogen dioxide — a gas emitted from the hot salt tank.”

These and other major problems with the technology and operations at the Crescent Dunes plant that significantly delayed its launch — and even took the plant offline for a year — call into question the legitimacy of cash grants, guaranteed loans, and depreciation benefits and whether American taxpayers were essentially bilked out of the cash and are now owed money.

That is what the qui tam lawsuit aimed to rectify, and that is where CMB Export, LLC comes in. CMB’s interest is, as an EB-5 visa firm, they say they are out tens of millions of dollars because of the failed project. So, they began investigating what happened and uncovered these major concerns with regard to how the Obama administration awarded these grants and other taxpayer-funded benefits, which are the basis for the qui tam lawsuit. The Biden Justice Department slow-walked it for years but finally approved the case to move forward procedurally. Everything was going smoothly until just before the election, a couple days out from Trump’s triumph over Harris, when CMB began hearing that the Biden Justice Department may reverse its support for the lawsuit.

Notice of that reversal is what formally came in those Election Night emails from the DOJ official, followed by a filing the next day in court seeking the dismissal of the qui tam case. The timing begs questions regarding why the Biden Justice Department would — from all appearances — seek to cover this up before Donald Trump would win the Presidential Election and Republicans would control both houses in Congress.

There is growing interest in Congress about getting answers from the DOJ.

Rep. Carol Miller (R-WV) wrote on Monday to Attorney General Merrick Garland to demand answers about the election night reversal.

“I am writing to express my concern regarding the Department of Justice’s recent decision to intervene and dismiss the qui tam case filed by CMB Export, LLC, under the False Claims Act against Tonopah Solar Energy, LLC, Cobra Energy Investment, and other associated parties,” Miller wrote to Garland in the letter, a copy of which was obtained by Breitbart News. “This case, centered on allegations of significant fraud and misrepresentation regarding the Crescent Dunes Project, raises serious questions about the use of taxpayer funds and the federal government’s commitment to holding parties accountable for alleged misconduct. The timing of the Department’s decision to dismiss this case is particularly troubling. After three and a half years of investigation, during which the case was under seal, the Department chose to allow CMB Export to proceed with prosecution as of August 2023. However, on November 6, 2024—just one day after the presidential election—the Department reversed course, intervening to dismiss the case with no clear justification provided beyond vague references to ‘public interest’ and the ‘expenditure of government resources.’”

Breitbart News reached out to Congressman Miller, who gave the following exclusive comment:

On November 5th, the American people rejected the Biden administration’s radical green new deal agenda and voted for affordable energy. If this project isn’t fulfilling its commitment, the DOJ needs to fully investigate. There must be accountability and transparency for every taxpayer dollar spent by the government, and I look forward to hearing from AG Garland.

Breitbart News has also learned that other members of Congress have been made aware of the matter.

There are major implications as well for the incoming Trump administration. Of course, this matter cuts across several federal government departments — from Justice to Interior to Energy to Treasury. The Justice Department is at the center of things, so incoming Attorney General Pam Bondi, will be in position to evaluate the matter and make a decision about how to proceed. Incoming Energy Secretary Chris Wright and incoming Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum will also need to look at solar and other green energy policies. Earlier this year, for example, the Biden administration’s Interior Department announced an expanded push for more solar energy projects like Crescent Dunes on federal lands.

“Officials at the federal Bureau of Land Management announced Aug. 29 they had finalized a plan to add Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming to its existing Western Solar Plan – an Obama-era project that expanded permitting for solar projects on federal land,” the Oregon Capital Chronicle’s Alex Baumhardt wrote in September. “When it was first implemented in 2012, it only included Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.”

This expansion includes millions and millions of federal land acres across these major wide-open western states, and it will be critical how Secretaries Burgum and Wright handle all of this.

As for Treasury, incoming Secretary Scott Bessent — just announced last week as Trump’s pick to lead the important Treasury Department — will have to decide if his Department was lied to by the Energy Department when the cash grants were made during the Obama administration.

The newly-formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), to be led by businessmen Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, could also end up weighing in on the bloated bureaucracy and waste of taxpayer resources on projects such as Crescent Dunes.

Trump himself of course has promised to revitalize American energy and has regularly criticized green Leftist projects like this.

President Joe Biden spent his final days in office rolling out a full and complete pardon of his criminal son, Hunter Biden.

“I will not pardon him,” Joe Biden said in June after a jury found him guilty on three federal gun charges.

The decision marks a reversal for the president, who has repeatedly said he would not use his executive authority to pardon his son or commute his sentence. The pardon comes ahead of Hunter Biden’s Dec. 12 sentencing for his conviction on federal gun charges. Hunter Biden also is set to be sentenced in a separate criminal case on Dec. 16, after pleading guilty in September on federal tax evasion charges.

In 2019, an investigation revealed that the Obama administration knew Hunter Biden’s position on Burisma’s board was problematic and interfered with U.S. policy in Ukraine.

The investigation also uncovered approved transactions involving the Obama administration which allowed a Chinese government-owned company and an investment firm with Chinese ties to acquire Henniges, a U.S. military technology firm—Bohai Harvest RST (BHR)—linked to Hunter Biden and Chris Heinz.

Many are opining that this sets a devastating precedent in that Trump can essentially pardon anyone he wants. Others are defending the pardon - suggesting that the incoming Trump administration would go after Hunter (You mean, for the obvious family corruption?).

During the 2024 election the Democrats ran their campaign on two narrative pillars - First, the idea that progressives are the guardians of "democracy" in the face of some conservative conspiracy to undermine the will of the people. Second, that they are the party with respect for the rule of law while conservatives are lawless barbarians. Both narratives were utter nonsense and the opposite is generally true, but this kind of rhetorical spin is not really meant to convince the people that oppose Democrats. Rather, it's meant to convince their devout electoral base and keep those lemmings in line with the message.

The claim that Democrats are the anointed purveyors of democracy has been thoroughly debunked after Donald Trump won the presidency with the electoral college and the popular vote. In light of this fact, leftist commentators and the media have decided that the loss was not due to their own failings, but the fault of "stupid voters" that just don't understand how important the progressive ideology is. Truly, these are the kinds of people that respect the democratic process...

The second claim, that Democrats are models of civic duty with a deep regard for the rule of law, was largely based on a Trump vs Biden legal woes comparisons. The political left argued that Joe's handling of his son Hunter Biden's federal charges and degenerate lifestyle was fair and just because he had not abused his position as president to get his family out of trouble. This was specifically mentioned in reference to Trump's intention to pardon J6 prisoners.

Biden, they said, would never exploit the presidency to protect convicted criminals for personal gain, even if one of those criminals was his own son. He's just too honorable.

Leap ahead a few months and suddenly all those same Dems are silent, or, they are defending the blanket pardon Biden just signed for Hunter. As a reminder, let's take a look back at the self righteous Democrat finger wagging and self delusion that led up to this embarrassing moment:

Set aside the fact that the Biden Administration actively weaponized the legal apparatus to take down a political opponent using fabricated charges - The reality that Joe Biden just gave his son a pardon the reaches all the way back to 2014 indicates a personal knowledge of Hunter's criminal dealings over the course of a decade. Likely, this knowledge come from Joe Biden's involvement in those same dealings. At the very least he used his position within government to trade for benefits and used his son as a proxy.

Joe Biden, the alleged president, traveled to Africa this week to meet with President João Lourenço of Angola and it was a disaster.

On Tuesday, 82-year-old Biden participated in an arrival ceremony and he needed help to get in his place.

The president of Angola had to jerk Biden’s arm to guide him on the red carpet.

It’s clear that outgoing and embattled President Joe Biden no longer cares about public perception—using his pardon power to put his son above the law and now openly dozing off in front of world leaders.

Biden was caught in a now-viral video seemingly asleep while resting his head on his hand during a summit in Angola.

Seated next to the sleepy president were the leaders of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania and Zambia, as well as the Africa Finance Corporation.

The summit sought to raise funds for a project to connect the African continent and boost its declining growth. Biden pledged a staggering $600 million in taxpayer dollars for the so-called rail plan.

“Africa has been left behind for much too long… but not anymore,” Biden claimed, his voice raspy. “Africa is the future. I’m not being solicitous.”

Despite the ambitious U.S.-funded project, Biden’s nap drew the most attention.

“Who’s running the country?” asked Republican official Jake Schneider, one of the first to share the video online.

“President Biden isn’t even trying to fake it anymore. No need to count sheep here. Dude went straight snoozing,” one user wrote, sharing a screenshot of Biden seemingly asleep.

Irish personality Chay Bowes similarly rebuked Biden on X, calling him “the singularly most useless and destructive” U.S. president in generations.

Schweizer: The Truth About the Hunter Biden Pardon – A Proxy Deal for the Whole Family



Joe Biden’s blanket pardon of his son, Hunter, was really a proxy pardon for the whole Biden family that hamstrings ongoing investigations into Biden family influence peddling schemes, according to Peter Schweizer.

In the latest episode of the Drill Down podcast, Schweizer points out that the schemes implicated not just Hunter but Joe himself, his brothers Frank and James, and other members of the Biden family. The pardon, “historically unprecedented” in its scope, is “a stunning acknowledgment of how corrupt this family is,” Schweizer says.

Every president has used and sometimes abused the pardon power, which is in the Constitution. In recent years, presidents have pardoned former political associates and wealthy supporters for specific crimes. But the only “full and complete pardon” ever issued before was by President Gerald Ford to the disgraced former president Richard Nixon.

Joining Nixon in that elite club is Hunter Biden, who was pardoned for any crimes he may have committed between Jan. 1, 2014, and Dec. 1, 2024. As Schweizer says in the podcast, that was not only an abuse of the pardon power but the action of a not-great father.

In addition to effectively ending investigations into alleged Biden family corruption, The Drill Down notes, six other factors should be stressed about Joe Biden’s unprecedented pardoning of his son.

1. The enormous scope. Not only was this for a family member, but it effectively made Hunter Biden immune anything he might have done for the past 10 years, whether charged or uncharged, convicted or accused. The president made sure his son could not be charged based on the results of investigations that are still ongoing into his influence peddling.

2. This is a proxy pardon that will extend to Joe Biden and other members of the Biden family. By pardoning Hunter, Biden crippled ongoing investigations into influence peddling that also implicated Joe and his brothers Frank and James, who made deals in similar fashion. Schweizer calls it, “a stunning acknowledgment of how corrupt this family is.”

3. The timing matters. Why does it specifically start with Jan. 1, 2014, and end Dec. 1, 2024? Because, Schweizer explains, right after the start date is when the money from China first began to flow. Hunter traveled to Beijing aboard Air Force 2 in mid-December 2013 and made an investment deal with Chinese government and intelligence-connected officials that would later total to about $1.5 billion. In April of 2014 was the Burisma deal, when Hunter Biden was given a seat on the board of a Ukrainian oil and gas company despite having absolutely no knowledge or experience with the energy business. The Spring of 2014 was also when Hunter Biden secured a deal worth $3.5 million with Russian billionaire Elena Baturina. She was hoping to be left off the list of Russian oligarchs that were being sanctioned by the US following Vladimir Putin’s first invasion of Crimea. (She was never placed on the list.)

What about the end date? This may have to do with Hunter’s later career as an untrained artist who sold his artworks to art lovers for as much as $500,000 apiece. Although purchasers were not formally disclosed, some of them received ambassadorships from his father’s administration, according to reports. Some of the art was apparently sold to people in China. But through the pardon, any of those transactions would not be subject to investigation and possible prosecution, either. Why does he need coverage through all of November this year? Joe Biden stepped down from the race in July. Could there be money coming his way after dropping out — perhaps negotiated by his key advisor, Hunter — that might have warranted inquiry?

4. A second bite at Hunter’s immunity deal. A prosecutor named David Weiss offered Hunter Biden a plea bargain in which he admitted to the gun charges and the feds dropped the tax charges. This deal was presented to a federal judge who rejected it, and the deal fell apart. Hunter Biden’s attorneys believed it would grant him total immunity from any future prosecution. “This shows how shameless the Bidens are,” Schweizer says. “Their goal was to clear Hunter for everything. With the pardon, that’s exactly what they are getting.”

5. Trump’s election triggered the pardon. Had Kamala Harris won the election, her administration would certainly have shut down any ongoing investigations by the Justice Department of a wide influence-peddling operation by members of the Biden family. But with Trump’s election, the risk was too great of Ukraine furnishing evidence to the Trump administration of a quid pro quo by then-Vice President Joe Biden. Recall that as vice president, Biden threatened to withhold aid money in early 2017 (before he left office) unless the Ukrainian government fired a prosecutor named Viktor Shokin who was investigating Burisma.

6. The criminal justice system does have a double standard, but not based on race or even wealth. It is based on political connections and family connections. “I’m a father, too,” Schweizer says. “I don’t think it’s acceptable that Joe Biden allowed this to happen. Hunter Biden did what he did because his father allowed him to do it. That’s not being a very good father.”

7. The mainstream media is dead. The airwaves and video streams are full of embarrassing examples of supposedly objective reporters and commentators applauding Biden in the past for refusing to pardon his son. Almost everything they told us about Joe Biden has been shown as false. “The curiosity that they once had is completely gone,” Schweizer says. “They didn’t run stories looking into the details of any of this. Even now they continue to carry water for the Bidens. They told us Trump couldn’t be trusted with levers of justice, but look at what Biden did!”

Biden picks up anti-Israel book during Black Friday shopping— ‘4 years too late,’ says author


Retiring President Biden hit the shops on Black Friday and surprised onlookers by picking up a copy of a book describing the establishment of Israel as “colonialism” that’s been met with Palestinian “resistance” — an acquisition its author bemoaned was “4 years too late.”

Biden, 82, left Nantucket Bookworks holding in full view of the press a copy of “The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonial Conquest and Resistance, 1917-2017” by Columbia University professor emeritus Rashid Khalidi.

The book argues that “the modern history of Palestine can best be understood in these terms: as a colonial war waged against the indigenous population, by a variety of parties, to force them to relinquish their homeland to another people against their will.”

Khalidi, who is of Palestinian and Lebanese descent, refers to President-elect Donald Trump’s first administration as a “mouthpiece” for Israel and accuses Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of leading “the most extreme government” in his country’s history.

The Arab Studies academic also slams what he describes as slanted press coverage in favor of Israel.

“I do not speak to the Post (or the Times for that matter), so this is not for publication, but my reaction is that this is 4 years too late,” Khalidi told The Post, which did not offer or agree to any terms conditioning that response as off the record or on background.

It was not immediately clear if Biden purchased the book or if it was given to him while in the shop — after he and first son Hunter Biden, 54, dined with first daughter Ashley Biden and other family members at the nearby Brotherhood of Thieves restaurant ahead of the island’s annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony.

Biden has repeatedly referred to himself as a Zionist, meaning a supporter of the movement that spurred Jewish immigration to the Holy Land, leading to the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948.

“You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist. I’m a Zionist,” Biden told visiting Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Nov. 12 in the Oval Office.

Staunch supporters of the Jewish state in US, however, faulted Biden for pausing shipments of heavy 2,000-pound bombs to Israel earlier this year after criticizing the humanitarian toll of the war. Other US aid continued despite the withheld munitions.

The retiring commander in chief visited Israel in a show of support shortly after Hamas terrorists murdered about 1,200 people on Oct. 7, 2023, and had to scale back his public appearances afterward, as furious activists persistently heckled him as “Genocide Joe” for backing Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip.

Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters descended on the White House last November chanting “F–k Joe Biden” and “Genocide Joe has gotta go” — with some even painting the moniker on the White House gates alongside red handprints.

Biden has increasingly criticized Netanyahu in the past year over civilian casualties in Gaza and reportedly has used expletives to describe him behind closed doors.

Khalidi’s book knocks Trump for enacting a range of policies such as moving the US embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing Israel’s annexation of the Golan Heights from Syria. The work was published in early 2020 before Trump brokered diplomatic relationships between Israel and five Muslim countries.

“Trump’s people abandoned even the shabby old pretense at impartiality. With this plan, the United States ceased to be ‘Israel’s lawyer,’ becoming instead the mouthpiece of the most extreme government in Israel’s history,” wrote Khalidi.

The book prescribes “a path based on equality and justice” that ends “the oppression of one people by another.” It cites discriminatory Israeli policies against Palestinians, whom Khalidi notes are of both Muslim and Christian backgrounds.

“Settler-colonial confrontations with indigenous peoples have only ended in one of three ways: with the elimination of full subjugation of the native population, as in North America; with the defeat and expulsion of the colonizer, as in Algeria, which is extremely rare; or with the abandonment of colonial supremacy, in the context of compromise and reconciliation, as in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Ireland,” he writes.

“If the elimination of the native population is not a likely outcome in Palestine, then what of dismantling the supremacy of the colonizer in order to make possible a true reconciliation? The advantage that Israel has enjoyed in continuing its project rests on the fact that the basically colonial nature of the encounter in Palestine has not been visible to most Americans and many Europeans.”

Khalidi writes that the “popular resistance” among Palestinians “can be expected to continue to mount.”

The author praises the First Intifada by Palestinians against Israel, which left more than 2,000 dead after nearly six years of riots and rock-throwing between 1987 and 1993, ending in the Oslo Accords that granted limited self-rule to occupied areas of the West Bank and Gaza.

“The First Intifada was an outstanding example of popular resistance against oppression and can be considered as being the first unmitigated victory for the Palestinians in the long colonial war that began in 1917,” the book says.

He has less positive words for the subsequent Second Intifada that’s better known for suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians, which resulted in a notorious security fence segregating Palestinian enclaves, writing that “the Second Intifada constituted a major setback for the Palestinian national movement.”

The Nantucket outing came just three days after Biden announced a US-brokered cease-fire between Hezbollah and Israel, as his administration continues to seek the release of both American and Israeli hostages held by Hamas in order to end the war in Gaza.

White House spokespeople did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
