A very clear evaluation of the election and a look at future with Trump.

It's an hour and about eleven minutes, but you can just listen, the video is just the two of them speaking.

No cliff notes, too many points, strap in for the future.

Victor Davis Hanson joins John after President-elect Trump's victory to explore why his direct style resonated with middle America. Hanson examines the economic and social factors driving Trump’s appeal, from rising inflation and border insecurity, to the sense of exclusion felt by many Americans. This interview highlights the stark divide between global elites and everyday citizens, examining how media and institutions underestimated public frustration.

Hanson argues that Trump’s policies address real concerns, fostering a lasting loyalty among voters. In addition to domestic dynamics, Hanson assesses Trump’s assertive approach to foreign policy, from NATO to trade relations, and its effect on global alliances.

Victor Davis Hanson is the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in Residence in Classics and Military History at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He is a nationally syndicated columnist and has written many books on ancient and modern warfare. His most recent books are The End of Everything: How Wars Descend into Annihilation and The Case for Trump: 2024 Edition.

His changed tone and demeanor helped him I think. If he’s not smart about how he implements and uses messaging his policy changes, the 2 years after the midterms could be either productive or combative.

True, Hanson speaks about that and judging by his transition team I think Trump got that message.

Truth is millions of fence sitters and dems finally realized the left has been sticking it to them for years...............Dems are still looking down from their ivory towers on the peasants wondering wtf happened.

Gene, thank you for posting this. I will listen to it with my midday cigar. This is the long form type of stuff that I enjoy so much more than snippets or 7 minute interviews that cover immigration, foreign affairs, debt and economy, domestic tranquility all in a whirlwind fashion.

Kamala got 14 million fewer votes than Biden did in 2020.

She lost because she was a sh*t candidate.

Biden was a **** candidate as well, those that voted for him absolutely despise Trump and would vote for Charles Manson over Donald so there’s still no explanation where those votes went.

Keep telling yourself that, millions voted for Joe that didn’t vote for Obama or Harris when so many on the left have even more hatred for Trump. Millions stayed home and our population grew millions more since 2020 and yet they just stayed home because they didn’t like the candidate. If that were the case she’d have had even far less votes as people weren’t for her, just voting against Trump.

Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., has reportedly invited students who are stressed about the presidential election results to unwind in a "self-care suite" on campus on Wednesday.

Students at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy will be provided milk and cookies, Lego blocks, and coloring, among other snacks and activities, in the room reserved for students after the election, according to an email sent by a campus administrator and obtained by The Free Press.

"In recognition of these stressful times," Jaclyn Clevenger, Director of Student Engagement at the McCourt School of Public Policy, wrote, "all McCourt community members are welcome to gather… in the 3rd floor Commons to take a much needed break, joining us for mindfulness activities and snacks throughout the day."

The full day's agenda includes, "Tea, Cocoa and Self-Care," a "Legos Station," "Coloring and Mindfulness Exercises," "Milk and Cookies," "Healthy Treats and Healthy Habits," and "Snacks and Self-Guided Meditation."

Legos and coloring for adults, at Georgetown University, because of a fake election?

I think of everything I've been through and accomplished, in the last 3 years...they would have surely died.

It's amazing to me how weak minded people are. Those people will have children that will be even weaker. One day life will truly mirror the film Idiocracy.

I stumbled upon some YouTube put-together clips of “experts” bemoaning why Harris lost. The slant was that America is still prejudiced and filled with misogyny (…hatred of women…). So in essence they were blaming the American people (…and pointing the finger at males…) for not voting for Harris. I fuggin’ turn that hand around and blame the Demo party leaders for not reading the room correctly. I guess when your ivory tower is too tall, you can’t see the forest from the trees.
