Tuna for lunch...cloudy, cold, and wet day in the 40's. Kinda sucks but I'm upright and on the right side of the dirt. Today is a good day 🇨🇮

Chore for tomorrow: Change the oil and the spark plug in the snow blower. It probably doesn't need it but it's worth $10 of materials and an hour of my time to make sure it's ready for the winter.

Prolly do a pork tenderloin in the slow cooker but the recipe calls for some red wine. I don't have red wine so I guess I'll have to hit the liquor store. Prolly grab a bottle of Merlot It's a lazy day cooking thingy for this recipe that I've not tried before. The recipe is as follows.

1 (2 pound) pork tenderloin
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 cup water
¾ cup red wine
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons minced garlic
freshly ground black pepper to taste

Toss it in the slow cooker and walk away. Set it and forget it. Let the cooker do it's thing for 4 hours or so. It seems like a lot of liquid but I'll give it a shot. Maybe when it's done, add some corn starch to make the drizzling sauce a bit thicker. Serve it with some jasmine rice and some veggies.

Happy Saturday fellas.

First weekend of the past 3 that I don't have to do any tree things.

Not sure what I'm gonna do today.

I copied down the "Cowboy Stew" recipe that you posted towards the end of the last 500.

Wife bought the ingredients that we needed. We're gonna use deer burger, corn, & potatoes from Hivelyland.

Prolly make it in early December after the Thanksgiving holiday.

My brother is gonna make the trip up here, Monday, for the start of the rifle season for deer.

Bucks and doe are on the menu. Hopefully more meat for the freeza.

Was watching “Lidia’s Kitchen” on PBS and her use of prosciutto in her dish reminded me that I need to make muffulettas again.

Morning gents. No third day at the Goodguys for DED. She started running rough on the way home yesterday and I'm thinking I might have a busted valve spring. 🤔

Not dead, just uninterested lately.

Neighbor is down to 2 chickens thanks to raccoons. He trapped 3 so far. I shot each one of them in the skull with a .22 pistol. Still more to go according to his cameras...

He only has a pellet gun and a 58 muzzle loader. Neither of them appropriate. I got the Browning Buckmark and plenty of rounds. Still kinda loud, but nobody has called the cops yet.
