Gov. of MA, Maura Healey, signed a bill today that makes it illegal to declaw a cat.

I've lived with cats for most of my life and currently have one. None of them were declawed. I'm not a fan of declawing - essentially nipping the toes off at the first knuckle. That's my personal choice but to outlaw it is kinda a stretch if you ask me.

I dunno, I think there are more important things to deal with instead of spending time to create a law to make it illegal to declaw a cat.

For example, men are allowed to go to the beach and be in public topless so why not women? Just sayin' Let the boobs be free!

People, sadly, care more about cats and dogs than children.

It's the same reason there were laws against letting a dog ride in the back of a pickup truck long before child seatbelt and restraints were required.

If some state outlawed cat and dog abortions there would be many abortion promoters screaming NO!

As for topless women, I was just a little guy when we were going to the beach and my sister had to put a top on. Mom said women must wear a top and I thought that's stupid, what difference does it make? Granted, it was a time when my Father's driver liked to joke with me about the Casa De Brujas. He'd laugh like crazy when I said we would go get them when I was grown up. Much later, I learned it was actually, Case De Putas. 😇

Hoarfrost

Hoarfrost, deposit of ice crystals on objects exposed to the free air, such as grass blades, tree branches, or leaves. It is formed by direct condensation of water vapour to ice at temperatures below freezing and occurs when air is brought to its frost point by cooling. Hoarfrost is formed by a process analogous to that by which dew is formed on similar objects, except that, in the case of dew, the saturation point of the air mass is above freezing. The occurrence of temperatures below 0° C (32° F) is not enough to guarantee the formation of hoarfrost. Additionally, the air must be initially damp enough so that when cooled it reaches saturation, and any additional cooling will cause condensation to occur. In the absence of sufficient moisture, hoarfrost does not form, but the water in the tissues of plants may freeze, producing the condition known as black frost.

Want to feel old?

Using an AI provder, I typed in the date of my birth and asked who was the oldest person alive on that date.

The answer given was a gentleman born in June of 1856. Five years prior to the begining of the American Civil War.

Tempted now to find his birthdate and find out the birthday of the oldest on the day of the prior man's birthday.

Conceivably, I might only be 5 or so births\deaths from the American Revolution.

Darn you, Steven Wright, making my mind start working like it (kinda) use to.
