I like 10" matches and I use a Bic to πŸ‡·πŸ‡ͺlight the match. But if I'm out for a walk, it's just the Bic.

Your last option reminded me of something I haven't thought of in a long time. I remember being a small kid, and my great grandfather would buy cheap cigars from the dime store, like Philly Blunts type cigars, cut them into three or four pieces, then use those as chewing plugs. I don't know why he preferred dry smoking tobacco to chewing tobacco.

I live in tobacco blessed hick town. 4 cigar smokers at a shop of 12 people. And I have 2 acetylene purchasers that are always gnawing on a homogenized wrapper stick or a backwoods (bw 4x4 from sutliff)

Single torch "eagle" lighters from Amazon.

I do have a triple flame Hammersmith jet lighter I'll use to toast n light bigger rg cigars but I tend to stay under 50

According to some sources, Gorman Thomas, a Milwaukee Brewers center fielder in the late 80's Brew Crew with players like Cecil Cooper, Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, lit a fart on the field.

He hit a stand up double in a preseason game. Pulled out a lighter and lit a fart.

This was back in the day when folks would be able to smoke cigarettes in the dug out, Stormin' Gorman smoked Marlboro Reds and can light a fart. I wouldn't use it to light a cigar though.

I like the quad or tri flame butane lighters with a single flame eagle brand for relights. Bic or chinese disposables if I can get them cheap and those days seem to be over.

Kinda, sorta similar. I normally use a Jetline New York triple with a Xikar Tech Single for relights / touch-ups at home but take a Vertigo single for out and about herfs.

I have a bunch of brand new cutters and lighters from my "Oh, nice looking. Think I'll bid on them" (squandering) days.

Xikar triple flame torch with Perdomo logo that he gave me the first time I met him. That was like 15 years ago and it has never failed me, even though I run it on Ronsol butane from Walmart.

Single jet or a bic. I do have a soft flame table lighter I use quite a bit also. But if I just had to pick one lighter I like single jet

When at home usually my Vector "crystal" tabletop antique replica that was a gift from my wife after i mentioned that i liked the lighter in Mad Men, traveling or camping it is usually my jetline single torch. Daily edc carry is a simple chrome zippo with a butane soft flame insert so if i find myself smoking with out a plan to do so, that s the light... in a pinch the bic i keep in my truck console as part of my truck edc will do.

In my 24 years of cigar smoking, I've always gone full "i am sam" when I bust out a torch. I've watched a lot of videos. I've played sing-song with experienced torch users. I still scorch the wrapper.
