i have always agreed with this... protest is legal... period... violence and destruction is not and i have never defended anyone that was arrested and prosecuted for violence or destruction of property during a protest... that include the BLM rallies, anti abortion rallies, jan 6, and the college campus protests.... any one causing physical harm to another or property (private or government owned) should be investigated, arrested, and tried for those crimes...

Johnson was sentenced to 75 days in prison with a year of supervised release and 200 hours of community service, and he was ordered to pay a $5,525 fine - far cry from the 4 years you claim... also, as to the charges related to the lecturn - and prosecutors dismissed his charges of theft of government property and of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds... He struck a deal and was only snetenced based on violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds...
