Anyone have experience with Anker or Jackery portable power stations?

We’re looking to get around a 1500w to 2000w unit but not familiar with battery technology, features or options such as solar panels, to make an intelligent decision.

TIA.

Anker will be more tech advanced
Jackery will be more light weight

1500 vs 2000 I would say go with 2000, typically each step up in power is better. You should be able to charge 2000w more times than a 1500, so it should last longer. The amount of plugs available may change per model as well so that is something to look at. The larger the wattage the longer it will take to change as well. For me I would pick Anker because they have always had the best battery tech imo, that could of changed over the years but I'm still loyal.

Thanks Greg. Coming from a person working in the industry is very helpful.

We’re also debating whether to get one or 2 so the cost will hafta be factored in too. I’m also considering a scenario of getting a 1500w as well as a smaller one, like let’s say 500w, to run smaller devices as needed. This would allow the 1500w to be used solely for our refrigerator.

Anker is still on top. Build quality is still head and shoulders over the rest.

We have a "fleet" of bluetti power boxes for Gridlife events. They run the POS systems and some lights after sun goes down. Not sure the wattage on them but for light loads like we do they're great.

Costco has a smaller Anker on “sale” with solar panels for $500 so gonna take a look and mebbe buy a couple. I forgot the wattage but getting two of them will give us more options if / when the power goes out for a few hours.

I see YOUTUBE VIDEOS ON ALL THE BRANDS...
I PAY ATTENTION, BUT THEN I FORGET...

WELL , anyway...if I ever get well off or rich, I will delve into it a lot more...
I'd like one for home and the cabin...
But that would be $1,000 to $2,000 bucks that I don't have...

If you have kids, big ass coffin freezers filled w/ frozen foods, live with old people who need power...and you make over $100 k then you'd prolly be smart to research and buy the best rated one or the best cheap one...

All the RV AND VAN VAGABOnd live on the road in VANS, CAMPERS ETC..
THEY HAVE all kinds of videos on every brand...on youtube.

This video is over a year old, but Project Farm actually buys products and tests them,

He is very clever figuring out tests for tools and other products.

Well, so much for that. The store didn’t bring them in and won’t ship them in either. [ram27bat]

Back to Battery Bill’s and pay an arm and a leg. 🤦

We have a 15 year old Champion 6000 watt gasoline powered generator that we only used once, during the renovation of our house in Downey when the electricity was off for electrical work. It was a little noisy but it worked fine. I should really test it, since I don't remember using it since we moved here more than 8 years ago. Fuel is prolly bad...

Twenty-ish years ago when power outages were a little more common in our area, I considered getting a gasoline generator but decided I didn’t want to store gallons of gasoline in our garage. Since then there hasn’t been a long enough outage to really be concerned but the Cub Scout in me still wants something for that once-in-a-hundred years storm.

Natural gas one? I keep debating if I wanna get one. I have a gas one but wanna make it pretty much instant start instead of doing all the work myself.

Didn’t know there was a NG generator. Pretty sure we’re gonna get an Anker.
