This has to be considered as a major victory for the Democrats.

Ya, but the new Pope is from Chicago, the first ever American Pope
Trump wanted Cardinal Timothy Dolan from New York, but he's happy anyway that this is a win for America.
The Democrats won't be so happy if the new guy is a MAGA Pope.

Pope Leo XIV is def not a "maga pope"... he has already battled Vance and this administration publicly and i am sure his failure to mention the US imediatly in his first apperance wont sit well with trump.

“Greetings... to all of you, and in particular, to my beloved diocese of Chiclayo in Peru, where a faithful people have accompanied their bishop, shared their faith,” Oh, and he did it in spanish... lol.

Peace be with you

To get a better read on the new pope, cracker thin crust or deep dish. Also, ketchup on hot dogs?

I vote for thin cracker crust over deep dish. Pepperoni and salami well done. There's a good pizza joint in town, wood fired oven that makes a nice pie.

I'm not a fan of ketchup so you have no competition with me on that. Just plain hot dogs with some diced onions. With that said, some recipes that I use and call for ketchup. I only use it for cooking those recipes as an ingredient and not a condiment. The best hot dogs I ever had were deep fried hot dogs with a butter toasted/grilled bun at a food truck festival. Them were some awesome dogs.

Back on topic... the Pope. I don't have any input. I'm not Catholic nor know who the candidates were. I don't think it will impact my day to day life.

I’m waiting for him to tear down the Vatican wall, there’s lots of feet out there for him to wash.

I thought this was going to take longer, but I guess they did the royals a favor by diverting news for a fellow pdiddler.

The Lefty Jacobins will wage their hate campaign against the new Pope because "as a bishop in Peru, he opposed a plan to include gender teaching in school, noting that, “The promotion of gender ideology is confusing, because it seeks to create genders that don’t exist.”

Funny thing, so called gender affirming care only has two options: Male or female.

I tried to give the tavern style a go but I prefer the deep dish. I have my own recipe dialed in well.
