When I find a 3/0 hook that doesn’t bent while fighting a 20-40lbs salmon in a river running 2200-2500cf that’s narrow enough to easily cast over, AND is as sharp…..I might buy one to try.

I also prefer them for Steelhead fishing.

They compete with Gamakatsu in quality and price. I tend to buy 'katsu, but if Owner is on sale I buy them.

I have both and mix them in the same storage container.

But like you mentioned in that other thread, I haven't gotten a chance to get my Gamakatsu's wet yet, in 2025.

My fishing knowledge comes from my former life-- before I entered the witness protection program in fall 2021.

Although I did get a PB in 2023. Life is funny that way sometimes.
