I have been experiencing errors in the set times of the closing on bids. Not a whole bunch, but enough that you here should start taking note of as it these posted times are always in error by 3 hours. Somehow or another we here on the west coast will see from time to time a bid closing time that is off by 3 hours. That is, Cigarbid will close a bidding at say 7pm ET when in fact if you notice the stated closing time it'll read 4pmET for the close. Now, I count on these times being correct. Because if I see a bid closing time that is early in the day I count on there being less bidding on that lot. Due to people still at work or on the road coming home from work here on the west coast. Less bidding= a cheaper price. Start taking note of these errors. They should honor whatever price you're sitting at in the bidding at that time. Hey, it's your money. And mine.

You might take note that zero auctions close at 4pm ET

Secondly, if you tend to bid near the auction close (snipe), the only consistent way to get those deeply discounted auction prices is to be a hound dog. The auction buyers are fickle. You can get lucky and catch a cheap-o batch (inconsistent) or you can spend a lot of time chasing.

I don't think I have ever seen this either. Bids always start closing in the evening.
I wonder if someone at Cbid meant 4pm PT, but wrote ET out of habit?
I wonder if it only happens with auctions of Caldwell Eastern Standard cigars?
I wonder if they'll release a Caldwell Eastern Daylight Saving?
I wonder if the theory of relativity has something to do with it?
I wonder what time it is?
I wonder what time is?

Ok. So many here could give a darn. At least about posted closed bidding times. To each his own. Can anyone tell me how i"m suppose to make a counter bid on a sniper once bidding has closed? I mean i"ve had many of my bids be awarded at close only to be outbid 2 mins after closing. That"s one thing. But a guy should be able to make a counter bid that"s been registered after closing.

Let’s not forget that in 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.
