Not perfect. Alright.

It's a tough position for you to be in. I take it (and might be wrong- and I won't be embarrassed by it) you are still Team Trump first.

On the other hand, Elon wants bigger and deeper cuts.

Thoughts?

Elon is right. He sees the doom loop. Trump is the president who has to get legislation passed. When the big beautiful bill passed, we are still in the doom loop. I’m OK with that. I am pro-kick-the-can.

I'll try this again........ You asked me to define "Rich". I did that, as a starting point for a conversation. An exchange of ideas.

You took that, made the Democrat comment..... record scratch. At that point, I guessed we were done.

It was a starting point for "rich". You could agree with that assessment or share your own.

It wasn't a policy.
It wasn't a cure all.

It was an opportunity to exchange thoughts, ideas, see what commonailty we had. Agree and disagree without being disagreeable or outright hostile.

You've passed on the opportunity, so let's get back in the gutter.

So how much tax revenue did your tax the rich plan bring in? 100 billon a year? Have you done the math? I offered a tax plan that brings in $1.83 trillion a year. Did you like my plan? My plan defines “tax the Rich” as anyone who pays taxes.

You want to act like “democrat” is an insult. Fine. 8trackdisco is a democrat, democrat, democrat!

I don’t see you volunteering for the austerity tax plan I laid out above. You’re perfectly fine with kicking the can down.

Here’s a scenario for you: Imagine if you put money away in a 401K for many years and then when you go to withdraw it, the tax rate you pay on it is more than when you originally saved it. Wouldn’t that be a fine how-do-you-do?

would have been really nice if the people that voted for the "big beautiful bill" had actually read it before voting... funny now to see so many of them say they didnt know certain things were in it...

as far as doge is concerned... still not legitamte and still a complete waste of money and chaos for the sake of chaos...

Then you follow up with being okay with the Death Loop and Can Kicking.

Now back to austerity?

It's is just a less obscene version of Pelosi in 2010.... "We have to pass it to see what is in it."

I disagree on DOGE, to an extent. The Fire, Fire, Fire, Aim is Optional thing is pathetic. Same with cutting too many people and then finding out they are needed back. This tactic is equally ineefective when getting a haircut.

Musk was applying what apparently works in his business ventures. Success is success, if you are going to fail, fail forward. Apply the lessons you learn and continue to fail better. It's a Growth Mindset on speed.

My main issue with DOGE is the math.

Within the first 6 weeks(?) DOGE found something like 150 billion in waste. Later, 180 (which was then revised back to 170 billion).

So my dumb arse is expecting 170 billion in cuts to show up n the BBB. Instead, there is only 9 billion removed in it,

Was the other 161 billion a mistake, and went back to where it was cut? There really isn't 150, 170 or 180 billion saved?

the other 161 billion is to fund doge... i kid but sadly not by much... i agree with what you said though. ready, fire, aim... is not the way to run a buisness and certainly not a country... my mifes work has had to hire back a ton of folks that were let go, her work fought to keep them and explained in many casses that this these are the only peopl that can do this job and this job must be done... months, weeks, and in some cases days later they were begging these people to come back to work. all that time, money, anxiety and for what? it cost the governemnt more to rehire them then it would have to keep them long enough to properly study how and where cuts could actually be made...

You've made is clear- there is no way out making enough cuts. I've leaned from experience, anything I put up, you'll just crap on as too little, too late.

Here's a couple biscuits you can quickly dismiss.

-For each person here illegally, when they are deported, their assets are frozen, and when thawed, goes toward paying off the debt.

-Stop the school lunch program is the summer time. Once the school year is over, so is the school lunch program. It restarts when the next school year starts.

Now the practical application and how those dollars would go to reducing debt- I have no idea.

How much did I just save?

Btw, you are still running in three or four directions at the same time. You've got a little bit of the Trump speeding around like a gnat on meth.

So you do agree with mass deportations. Good.

Every person here on the free lunch program that is here illegally departs, there will be that many more meals for American citizen children getting lunch................ as long as they go to school yearround.

It would also increase the quality of education for the students and the Summer Educational Hangover would be eliminated.

A double win.
