The Kansas City Chiefss won the 91st regular meeting between these two storied organizations; however, every year in the NFL, you win one or two you should have lost and this was the case tonite! Chiefs 23 Radiers 17!

The call on Randy Moss in the end zone was a bad one, and should not have been made...this would have given the Raiders a touchdown, instead they settled for a field goal. This was not the determining factor, but it was a big one, as the Chiefs dodged a bullet!

Both teams had to put up with lots of questionable calls by an overzealous officiating crew and the Chiefs came out on top!

Kansas City was playing without All Pro lineman Willie Roaf and it showed, as they could not run left as they normally would do! Trent Green was outstanding in his play on field play and the offensive co-ordinator of the Chiefs (Stallings) called a great game! Jimmy Raye, offensive co-ordinator of the Raiders had a chance to win the game, but for some reason they did not choose to go to Randy Moss on any of the critical plays on their last drive that the Chiefs defense came up big on and we prevailed in a typical Raiders vs Chiefs game! This rivalry, one of the best in pro sports, has had many close games and this one stayed true to form. Going into the Black Hole is always a tough task for any team and the Chiefs handle it as well as any team in the NFL-but they had the Gods on their side tonite as Oakland played a tough hard nosed game-typical of the series!

Game winner was one for the Chiefs defense who rose to the occassion and won the game in the end, but the two big drives by their offense that ate up the clock in the second half should not be overlooked....Oakland made them settle for two field goals instead of touchdowns and really put a stamp on this game!

My hat is off to the Raider faithful as they are (gulp) among the best and most supportive fans in the NFL.

Winning this kind of game is the kind that a team can look back and say we were lucky to win, but it is a win and that is what counts.

No bravado from me...but glad to get that win-one that could have very easily gone to the Raiders.

Now, watch Oakland go into Philadelphia and beat the Eagles this week. Randy Moss is the one of the few wideouts in pro football that could have converted that pass into a 64 yard touchdown, as he was covered, but managed to make the play of the game!

Raiders and Chiefs both have vastly improved their defenses from the last few years, and both will make the playoffs!

The Raiders have the worst opening schedule in NFL with New England, KC and then Philadelphia! If they do not win next week, it will be tough, but I expect them to upset the Eagles--Now everybody yell at me, but I am not going to bet for the Raiders to win, because I cannot do that-I do not like the Raiders, but I admire their team for the effort they put forth and I admire their crowd for the way they support them.

The record for Kansas City and Oakland Raiders in this series is now 48-43-2 with KC holding the edge, but all of us know that these have been mostly close and hard fought games, and tonites was no exception!

Thanks for not using your great weapon, Randy Moss, as much as you should have!

Go Chiefs!

Charlie

PS I went outside and smoked an Ashton VSG to celebrate the win!

Now before some of you start jumping on me, I am not bragging or rubbing it in! Just happy to get one that could have very easily gone the other way!

Next meeting between the two is on November 6 in Arrowhead, another place that has great fans that make a lot of noise, so expect another barn burner!

arizona should have won. warner played a better game then the score would indicate. his receivers need stickum on their hands.

and what happened to payton manning.

byron leftwich showed me something today.

Byron Leftwich is a hard nosed quarterback who probably could play on the defensive side of the ball as well! He isn't a pretty quarterback, but he is a good one and real gamer!

Glad you could admit that was a horrible call charlie. There were a few against the raiders that were just bad.

They had to play the chiefs and the refs it seems.

That was the only bad call against the Raiders, the rest were simply calls that they make in each and every game!

Don't forget the punt return of Dante Hall! Both teams were victims of quick flags, and yes, the Chiefs were lucky to pull this one out, but that is the way the series goes!

Bad call yes, but Moss has gotten away with more than has been called over the years..... It's hard for me to cry for the raiders or moss.

By the way, I've finally found someone who looks in worse shape than Keith Richards (Al Davis) although I prefer Keiths purple coat to Al's jumpsuit.

Charlie - I'm nitpicking hear but the OC for the cheifs is Al Saunders. And he called a great game. I was scared he would abandon the run. There is a good chance he may take over when ****** retires.

Ok enough about my second favorite team. The real game is tonight. Go cowboys..... didn't they beat a west coast team last week? 😉 I can't remember.

Damn, I know it is Al Saunders, he used to coach the Chargers! Jimmy Raye, Offensive Coordinator for the Raiders used to be the O coordinator in KC!

How are they keeping Al Davis alive? He looks dead already, and worse than Keith Richards!

I was going to comment the reason Jimmy is no longer in KC is the same reason he decided not to use Moss on that last drive.

By the way, the only thing creepier than Al Davis last night was Stearling Sharp's love fest for Randy Moss. Get a room already.

I don't like the chiefs, raiders or chargers and I hate the fuggin cowjerks.

I like the 49ers, but unfortunately, they suck right now. It's just our turn at the bottom... we'll be back.

MACS - your niners looked good against the Rams.... almost cost me in my fantasy league.... fluke?

As for the cowboys... it reminds me of the saying "don't hate me because I'm pretty"

============================================

No fluke ... the 9ers are much better coached now than they were the last couple of years and will do quite a bit better this year than they did last ... and will do better next year than this ... 2 years from now, they'll be contenders ... then, when Alex Smith is seasoned enough to be the starter and the team has improved itself, particularly on defense, they'll be the division champion again ...

Rattay, as Bill Walsh said of Steve Deberg after he'd coached the team a while, is "good enough to lose" ... that is, he's good enough for the short haul while the team amps up, but they'll lose more than they win with him at the helm ...
