Hey Rick... the plant you gave my wife is growing exponentially. It is over 16" tall already and has wrapped its little tendrils around the cords on my window blinds.

At what size would it be acceptable to plant this thing outside? And should I wait until winter is over and spring comes? I think if I wait another 6 months, this thing may have taken over my kitchen... kinda like the house in that movie Jumanji.

we talked about that one area in the back against the fence, where it would get loads of sun.

dig a hole bigger then the pot, turn the pot upside down and tap it on it's ass. it will slide out. fill the rest of the hole with good potting soil and push the soil to get rid of air bubbles.

water it everyday just like you did in the pot. in about a month it will send a tap root down, find water, and bingo, it's on it's own you might even get flowers the season.

always good to hear that one of my offsprings is making it in the cruel world.

MACS, I planted mine almost immediatedly & just made sure that they had a mix of top soil & peat moss, plenty of sunshine, along with waterings for a couple of weeks.

Some sort of latticework should help support them. I used wooden fans (6').

Yours sound great! Both of mine have about 20 purple blossoms & too many buds to count. Rick is definitely leaving his seed from coast to coast. LOL!

Rock on Rambo! (c;

Rick, got your surprise package- did you get mine?

Your sticks were unbanded. They were dark & delicious. Were they RP Vintage seconds?

Oh, and thank you for the mashed potatoes!

Truly a creative gift! Eve & I laughed a lot when we saw them. Can I send the leftovers to MACS & Rambo? LOL!!
