I, too, prefer my shoes to have leather bottoms. Just making a point that you don't match your belt with the color of the sole.

I'm glad Ryan though that you've got some fashion sense....you'd be surprised how many don't.

Here's another tip......get as wild as you can with the socks, and don't EVER wear black socks. Pink, purple, yellow, blue, whatever.....just go nuts. Socks are the only accessory we have. The wilder the sock, the more money people think you have. They assume you're eccentric.

Letterman does this. It throws some off at first, but it makes it seem like he knows something that others don't.

It's always the successful one or the one picking up the check that can get away with crazy socks and white wine with a rare steak. People just assume that nobody has the gall to question you. Anyone that does is obviously not and never will be on your payroll.

Easy solution:

No belt. It's not an uncommon practice but not everyone can pull it off, it requires confidence. Some even have their tailor remove the belt loops for a cleaner look.

Just a thought.

The shoes are a bit of a stretch but doable. The tie I could live without. Actually Adroomi looks good. I disagree on the sock advice though, I wear socks I like, I don't care how you others interpret my outfit. But what do i know? I like dark beer with rare steak. And cookies. And captain crunch. And ....

I like white socks best because they are absorbent and comfortable, but in general I don't like socks, because I don't like shoes. I have to wear steel toes to work, so people rarelky see my socks. At home, when it is warm, I wear Sperry Santa Cruz sandals (flip flops)........I'm not dropping names to impress, I just REALLY like these and would suggest them to anyone looking for a more supportive thong type shoe.

When it gets a little cold, I wear fleece socks that have a split between the first two toes; usually brown or olive colored. They look gay, but allow me to wear sandals for a few more months.

In the winter, you HAVE to wear shoes or boots, becasue of the slushy white sh%t.

When I dress up, I either wear my black or brown Rocky slip-on oxfords.........I love Rocky shoes/boots.

If you can find them, try the Sperry Santa Cruz thongs. I have Plantars Fascitis (sore feet), and these seem to provide a lot more support than teva, reef, or even birkenstock.
