Cadbeans asked me to post.. So here come a few pics from the loss..

Here's a pic of the inside of my humidor...

Middle of the pic, are a couple of brown beetle shells... or eggs?

Top right, you will see white splotches, those are the beetles! UGH. Trying to find a better close up!518731.jpg

it seems most of my sticks in that box were nailed. it's my "ISOMs Only" box, and I'm rarely in it...save them for a nice day... well, my other box seems OK..

hog - do you have expeirence with freezing? can you give a BOTL some advice? cigar at (my name here) dot com

n9tog,

I used to have the link to the Freezing method for cigars.. I haven't had to do this to my cigars since 2001 when I purchased my new house and set up my walk-in in the basement...

Slim may have the link? but I will email you the info on a site that I got my info from, you'll have to do a bit of searching and possibly ask on that forum...

email on its way....

ISOM's Man sorry to hear bout the loss...

if you can keep your temps below 70 degree's the beetle eggs won't hatch I keep mine between 67-65.. 65 on the Isom's IMO is best...

you could also start a thread about Freezing Cigars in the C&G area.. I'm sure someone would have the link I am talking about... especially Slim.. he knows most these links...

Good Luck!

With that much damage, I am guessing that they are too far gone for freezing. That looks bad!!

Sorry to hear about your loss.

n9,

FYI

Have you considered the "microwave" solution?

Try this link...
