My experience with Opus X is that they are typically not worth the money. I mean, if you want to say that you are smoking the most sought after cigar in the US that's one thing. But if you are looking for truly the best cigar on the market keep looking. I'm a big Fuente fan but Opus is highly overrated. I had almost 200 of them in my humidor as recently as last month but I sold every single one of them. I've yet to smoke one that burned consistently. In my opinion it's not an enjoyable cigar it's really just a status symbol. Take a Padron 1964 Anniversario or the Fuente Sungrown Double Chateau or the Ashton VSG anyday over these.

Just curious, why would you buy 200 cigars that you thought were overated and did not like?

Because for the price I got them it was a great deal that I couldn't pass up. Even if they were dog rockets for the right price I'll take them and sell them to others.

Actually, maybe I was a little harsh earlier. I'll smoke an Opus X but given the choice of plunking down MSRP for them I'll pass. They aren't *that* good.
