I've been working like crazy lately. I'm a carpentry contractor, so i go thru slow periods when i'm online more often and then the season gets crazy again and i'm hardly home (like the last couple weeks). Today, for example, 7:30am (**** a doodle do) till 9:30pm (i missed my wine and hours de vours)! Grrrr.

Anyway, it's gonna stay busy for the next few weeks and then i'll be around more again for a while. Sooooo that's why no posts lately.

Sorry guys, i know misery loves company! LOL...j/k.

(psst. i hear he is good for some yard gars). sad to say, but i have only had 2 or 3 cigars that i remember not liking. and to be quite honest, the cohiba esplendido was way too powerful for me...i got 2 cubans and 1 dominican sitting until i can step up to the plate.

oh-boy...after figuring bills and groceries , and the wife figuring out xmas (get a jump on it).

i've been "alotted" a whopping $20 (which isn't alot! hehe) for my hehehe spending pleasure......she just doesn't understand this illness!!passion!!! obsession!!

i tried explaining....but it was like talking into an empty coffee can....it went in..but that was the end of it!

i'm just glad i've got a "production bonus" coming this next week ( she doesn't know about my bonuses!!)

my regular check is direct deposit....a bonus check is a "live" check...they don't direct deposit it...so it doesn't show up on the bank statement!! hehehehe

but a production bonus isn't a sure thing...sometimes we get-em...and sometimes we don't!

i'm depending on one from here on out! or untill i get more "spending money" hehehe

yeah, i know how that goes, buddy. i try and keep all my cigar bills discrete. I look at my lil spending sprees as bonuses too in a way. When i get paid on a job i usually skim a little off the top after paying the workers and then buy some sticks before making the deposit. I used to smoke nothin but yard gars till i found out about these forums a little while back. This has been helpful in an aficianado kind of way and harmful in a decreased paycheck kind of way! LOL But it's worth it, i enjoyed smokes before, but they're becoming more of an EXPERIENCE all the time. I'm learning to hone my thoughts in on the cigar itself instead of having it just be something to do.... Trading and splitting with some of the fellow BOTL here has been great. Get a chance to try lots of new stuff.

So when the jobs wear off in a month or two i'll hopefully have my tastes honed on some BETTER, but still decent priced stuff (thanks to auctions and watching blind taste test results)!

i'm still smoking ( what ....most) would consider "yardgars" but i've enjoyed alot of them!

don't get me wrong..i've got some good sticks in my humi...but i tend to "enjoy" those alot more when i smoke them.

i'll still use my "spending money" to fet some decent 5-ers here and there..minding i don't get outbid.

that way i've still got "incoming" supplies so-to-speak for my pleasure.

but i'll still pick up some "quanity" as well.

quality sure is nice.....but being limited in funds for now...i've got to think of the future at hand.

"floating" in the deep end is nice.....but it's fun to dive sometimes!

i may do a "cannonball" as well!

like hoss, i was smoking yardgars (and cubans--i guess both ends of the spectrum) before i found this site. life is just better now.
