I just got the new book by Matthew Modine, "Full Metal Jacket Diary. It is great, give a lot of information about Kubrick and the making of the movie. It also tells about the actors and their methods. Great book for the Full Metal Jacket fan on your Christmas list.

Was thinking about buying that book....have not seen it yet, heard them talking about it on the radio! Heard an interview with R Lee Ermy (played the Drill Instructor, and a retired Marine) and he was telling about the movie!

Charlie

The first 45 minutes of that movie was a cult classic.

The last 45 minutes was torture.
