Just got the 5400 from our freinds here. Do I have to condition it or add cedar slats to the sides? and whats the purge thingy for?

The Otterbox is only a temporary storage container, something you would take to a herf or vacation. Hence you really won't need to line it with any cedar or condition it.

It should have some foam-like trays which will keep your cigars safe in rough handling situations.

In regards to the "purge thingy;" No clue.

I just got one of those too.

The purge thingy is for if you ever take it on a flight. Try opening it afterward without purging it...

So you can open it after flying. Almost impossible to open otherwise.
