I've been doing an inventory of all of my worldly posessions, which don't ammount to a whole lot after Hurricane Katrina.

Today was Cigar Inventory time.

As you can see, I managed to save them from the flood.

When the water started coming into the house, I had to try to salvage the things that were most important to me. The first thing that i did was to put life jackets onto my children, then I went to the garrage and got a ladder and an axe which i put by the attic access, just in case we had to go into the attic to escape the water. The next thing that i did was to put my humidors and my computers up onto the high shelves in my den. By then the water was four feet high in the house.561590.jpg

I can't imagine having four feet of water in my home. My sympath to you sir. I trust that you saved all that was most important, and that life will return to normal soon.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Tuck.

We are living and working in Houston for the time being and trying to make the trip back to the house on weekends to work on it.

So far I have spent thousands out of my pocket and all that i have gotten from my Homeowners insurance is "The Run-Around".

FEMA hasn't been much help either.

We were among the unfortunate, or ignorant ones who did not cary flood insurance, so the chances are that whenever our homeowners insurance does decide to make a move, it probably won't help much.

Hopefully, our luch will change soon.

You live and learn.....

An ice tea and a Puros Indios. Perfect Combo. Puros They need some age, then turn into a good smoke. I don't think too many people know they have a sungrown wrapper. A little green off the truck. IMHO. Some other fine cigars there too. Thanks for sharing.
