I know You guys are gonna have fun with this one but here goes! This is a Meerkat. They are called the Piranhas of the desert. They look small and harmless but are vicious.They eat incects,lizards & small birds. They come from the Kalahari Desert. They are not endangered. My wife and I loved the episode on the Discovery channel they cat on these critters awhile back ... it was hilarious!

These guys will frantically run around together ... then stop suddenly, and all stand up on their hind legs and look around ... it was so funny.

Saw the Discovery show on Meercats and it was most entertaining! Cute little guys!

I love meekrats! I'll never forget that Smithsonian magazine cover a few years back with a group of them all standing at attention. I was able to see some of them at the zoo and found them to be hysterical.

Well I didn't see the show on Discovery. So fill me in.
