I found a couple of sites on the web ... which you probably also found. This is what they claim ... and if it's redundant, please accept my apology.

It's a medium bodied cigar. It has a complex blend of Cuban seed, Nicaraguan seco, viso, ligero and Mexican seco. The wrapper and binder are of Indonesian origin.

'SOLEARES' cigar factory was founded February 1996.

Premium cigars, like exquisite wines and cognacs, require time to bring out splendid and pleasing taste.

From the time our choice tobaccos are harvested, until the moment we hand box our cigars, at least two years will have elapsed.

We wait that length of time so that our tobaccos mature and preserve the perfect aroma and exquisite bouquet every 'cigar connoisseur' looks for.

The world's finest tobaccos are selected for each Soleares cigar to reach the epitome of our cigar blends.

With these tobaccos our skilled artisans produce all

SOLEARES Premium Cigars. Made by Hand.

i decided to fire up the robusto last night... and i'm sorry to say i was underwhelmed.

the problems started almost right away. the wrapper start coming undone after i cut it.

it fired ok. had a decent draw. but there was a very sharp, almost chlorinated taste.

maybe i should have let them sit. i'm gonna leave the lonsdale in the humie at least for a few months.

Sorry to hear that. I got a box of Soleares robustos from CBid last month. I had read a very positive review of the "reserve" line on another web site but maybe they're better or maybe the review was phoney. I'll post my opinion when I smoke one.

I recently bought a box of 24 Soleares Petite cigars (5 3/8x44) from an old guy in Virginia. The cigars have been sitting in his basement since 2001 @ 65/65 with 26 other boxes and bundles. I smoked one of them after a 2 week rest in my humidor. I was quite impressed with the taste and the burn. A slightly sweet caramel flavor with a woodsy, creamy finish. The burn was perfect.

I found this thread thru a Bing search and read through it. It seems that others have had a different experience with this brand of Costa Rican cigar. Maybe they just have to be aged for 15 years. 🤨
