Has anyone here ever heard of these? I guy I worked with today says they are the finest cigar he has ever smoked in his whole life (he's in his mid-60's) and he can't find them anywhere. They may be out of production (along with my treasured Napa Reserve - Canary Island's). I asked him if he meant Vega Fina, and he said no ... is/was there such a cigar?

I think he may be thinking of La Finca which is a Nicaraguan cigar with Ecuadoran wrapper. I've never tried them but have heard good things.

Thanks my friend ... I believe you are right. I'm going to try to find some ... if I do, I'll send you a few to try ... on the house.

Sure sounds like LaFinca. Had some out of the torpedo sampler. Serviceable. Liked the Flor de Farach better. Neither of them can hold a candle to the Flor de Olivas.

I love the robusto-sized La Fincas...Very nice!...I haven't had the torpedo yet from the Nicaraguan Sampler yet...Or the Flor De Farach...I have about five or six Monte #4s left..Just had one a few days ago...MAN!!..They sure do get better with age!!

How long ago did he have his last one? The reason I ask is because back in the 60's, Padron made a cigar called the "La Fuma". If he's an old-timer, this might be the smoke he remembers. Hope that helps a little.

Yeah, there were two things that made me wonder if La Finca was the cigar in question. 1) The finest cigar he ever had. 2) He couldn't find them anywhere.

I'd have to agree with squatto twice. I would rate the LaFinca a 76 at best. Very dry, not much flavor and poor construction. IMHO, I can't see anyone giving this cigar a title of "the best", even if you're just mowing the lawn. Must be a different stick.

This cigar is ultra-mild. Otherwise fine.
