like the title says: any firefox users here? i've been using firefox for a long time, since before it was called firefox actually... i have an idea, but i'm not sure if there would be an interest for it here...

here it is: i was surfing around cbid thinking it would be kinda neat to have an firefox extension for cbid, maybe something like a toolbar, with a search and quick links to the different sections of the site, and even the different boards... maybe even something like a drop down menu for watched auctions, and notifications on when they end. i got a good week off work, so i got plenty of time to put something together...

just want to know if there would be any interest in something like this before i start, plus i would need SteveR@CigarBid's permission of course 🙂

oh yeah, i was a computer science major in college, so it wont be something just patched together, i'll try my hardest to make it something really nice and polished...

Go for it. FireFox is a phenomenal tool. I will never turn on a computer without it.

I'll be looking forward to your toolbar, let me know if you need a Beta-tester!

Best thing I have ever done to my computer. The tabbed browsing is so perfectly logical, It's unbelieveable its not the standard. along with the search capabilities, add ons, security, etc etc etc .

and I'd definitely add a c-bid tool to mine (although I wouldn't have a clue how to build it)

aight, i'm gonna dig into this tomorrow morning, first release will probably be fairly simple(auction quick search, navigation buttons) after that i'll work on forum searchs, then bookmarking(watching) auctions, then if i can figure it out, little notifications that'll slid up from the bottom right corner when an auction ends...

anything i'm missing or anything you guys want that might be able to be added in?

PS: i just found this nifty little extension that allows me to track packages be selecting the code, right clicking it, and selecting "track package", works with all 4 major carriers... i wonder if i can incorporate something similar...

welp, i woke up late today, but i'm already deep into it, i'm doing the "about" window first, since its something that doesnt really need to tied into alot of other stuff, i was gonna put this line in it:

"Cigarbid toolbar is not developed, supported by cigarbid.com or cigarsinternational.com, i'm just a humble cbid and CI customer wanting to help his fellow B/SOTL"

think that would work for keeping things straight? the reason i put CI in there is cause i was gonna add a quick link button to CI on there, it is a sister site after all...
