Since there has been much interest in the homemade humidor I posted another picture showing a better angle of the sliding shelves. It actually was that Most of the time was waiting for glue to dry. In all honesty I still maintain it's a box with a door that is spanish cedar lined. I'll bet you can buy a damaged wall cabinet, add a top, shelves and have basically the same thing.

You are right Jerry. Almost any end table or cabinet can be made into a humidor. But it takes a little imagination and lots of craftsmanship. From experience I know that with concentrated effort, a guy can screw up almost anything.

Are you going to seal the door?

Very nice, I like the different shades of the wood ... and the cigars look good too! Killer collection ...

As far as the seal goes, I have 2 latches that are of the cam style (typical window locks) and they seem to draw the door up real tight. The humididy has been holding real steady at 70 %. If things change I will have to address a seal but at this point it seems to be working well.

you actually do not want to seal the door. you want the air to circulate otherwise you can grow mold and rot your cigars. outstanding you should be very proud of this peice...definately will be a family aireloom
