We got a letter in the shop from Fuente saying that after the New Year they'll be raising the prices on all their products. This includes Bauza, Montesino, La Unica, etc. in addition to the Fuente lines. Might want to stock up b4 then.

Disappointing news coming form an already overpriced cigar line. While I enjoy the Hemingway series immensely, as well as most of the EMS Bauza sticks, there are much too many better cigars for the money. I think I posted a list of them a year ago here if you are interested.

858s are my staple, montesino are terrific, Ashton I had last night was excellent, and the VSG the other night......whoa!

...price hikes always open up opportunities for competitors. Some AF lines cost more because they take so much time from field to market. Others are overpriced compared to brands that are equally good or better. I heard something a few months ago about a strike, then noticed '"call for availability" notices popping up on the net . Also, the number of AFs offered on CBid had fallen to near zero over the last year. Guess it's time to set the sinker lower and start trying brands I haven't tried before.
