Had my first Opus X this afternoon and it's every bit as good as you guys said it would be. It smoked like a dream, down to the nub. I guess the other guys at the local cigar shop must've known it was my first too, cause I swear I had a stupid grin the whole time. At $26 a stick and the fact that the shop runs out of them quickly, it was worth it. Maybe next time I'll have the PAM...my mouth is watering

Ouch! at $26 a stick I'd better have more than a smile on my face! :0). No offense but you can get them for a lot less.Where are you located? Truth is though if your in Cali like some of us,your better off trading for them for an ocasional smoke.

Hey if your interested I can direct you to a sight for Padron Anni 5pks in natural at a much Better price! Besides I think the PAN's are a much better cigar IMHO!!!

Whoa. I might smoke $26 worth of smokes a month.

I saw them at the local high end smoke shop. $18.

Yup, $26 is a little more than double what i just bought a couple of Power Rangers and a Robusto for today. Good smokes though.

E-chick is correct. Here in San Diego cigar prices are definitely too high. I have to chuckle when I see reviews of cigars in magazines such as "Cigar Afficianado" or "Smoke" and see the "suggested" price of the cigar in particular. Shops gotta make money too, I guess.

Yeah, I was in San Diego last October and I saw the prices on those Opus X's,..$30-55/each. Though they seem to be readily available...it's a bit overpriced!
Here in the East Coast, though somewhat difficult to find, the Opus's go for about half the price.
Anyway, yes they are good smokes, but I think they are a bit overpriced and overrated, IMHO. Other just as fine smokes available for a lot less.

I assume you guys are talking about the Perfection A, correct? The other sizes are all quite a bit cheaper.

In NJ there is a store that usually has them in stock. Torpedo fot $17 and Dbl. corona for $19. Buy them as a treat every now and then.

Those are some pretty good prices. In Atlanta, they can go as high as 20 to 22 bux for the #2 and 25 for the dbl corona. My personal favorate over priced Fuente's though are the Untold Story (Maduro Hemmingway) and their Anjeo Extra Vejo's.

Marla,

Yes, I was happy to see DL III, one of the tours nicest people, win at Pebble Beach yesterday!

Oh, on cigar prices in California, "Look for the gun when you start buying premiums (like you are being held up)"
