Since pictures are being posted of cigars standing on their own ash, here is one of a Don Guillermo. Thats a robusto standing on 1/3 its length in ash

I don't get it...what's the point of this? Just a cigar trick or is it to prove the cigar has good construction?

The wire is not holding it up it is actually a couple inches behind the cigar. I am not taking down my Christmas lights to demonstrate that there are a lot of cigars that are well enough constructed to stand on their own ash. I was sitting out front smoking when I thought, "why not give it a try?".

Never been too much into long ashes, because they generally end up in your lap or on the table making a mess!

I agree, I do not normally let the ash get this long, I was curious about how long it would get and how strong it would be.

See, when I did this with an IT Anniversary, it was all the way down to the nub.

I'll do this again and get a pic, but I'm almost out of the Bear size, which is my favorite. Need to pick up another bundle.
