So I've been anxiously tracking my package from EMGJET, and today the site shows that an attempt was made to deliver it, and a notice was left. Problem is, my wife was home at the time it said a delivery attempt was made, and there is no notice on the door.

Anyone else ever have this problem? Can I go to the post office tomorrow to pick it up? What gives?

Usually your pkg will be held at your post office. You may pick it up after nine a.m. the next morning, or you can call and have it delivered the next day. If they hear nothing from you for several days they will try to deliver it again, then send it back. Tuck

Thanks, this forum amazes me. I've yet to ask a question that hasn't been immediately answered. Some great folks here.

What time did the attempt show? If it is not your normal mail delivery time, there's a good chance that the carrier forgot to deliver it. . . . he may have had it with him, and forgot it was in the back of the truck . . . believe me, it happens all the time . . . well, they are scored on their Delivery Confirmation scanning percentage, so what happens, is they scan it as attempted when they get back to the office . . .that way, it counts as a good scan . . . . when that happens, they'll bring it out and deliver it the next day . . . . . if they didn't do that attempt scan the same day they had it, their office would have to explain why . . . . . so, chances are, the scan may not be a legitimate "attempt", but rather something they did to cover up their mistake . . . . . look for it Tuesday . . . .

Sometimes a mail carrier may key in "delivered" ahead of time. I've had a package from CBid tracked and it indicated "Delivered" and it most certainly was not. I called the Main P.O branch and inquired, after a long hold, they said the carrier had it in his position and I would get it that day (Day after registered as Delivered)

Don't know if it helps, but it happened to me.

It said attempted delivery at 6:45 pm. Our usual time for mail delivery is around 1pm.

If i go to the PO tomorrow morning, would they have it?

I would guess they wouldn't because it would probably be on your particular mailperson's truck and out already.

If your wife's around at usual delivery time and it doesn't come, I would call them and ask if it's there to pick up.

Our newest mailwoman is pretty good with that stuff (Even though she does just put the packages outside our door even if it's raining. Too much, I guess for her to take the extra three steps to our covered porch area.), but we have all kinds of problems like that with our UPS guy.

He has claimed to have delivered things a few times that definitely weren't delivered...only to have them mysteriously show up a few days later when we complain.

I've had gems returned to the post office

that would have fit in the mail box!No attempt

was ever made to deliver to the house. My wife has

day care and is always home.Never a pboblem with

c-bid.I was off work today and had 20 more sticks

arrive.(at the door)

Tim was absolutly right about the carriers loging

the parcel delivered, before it has been.UPS is not the safest way to ship mdse.Good luck at the post office.Just be happy and full of smiles.

At least you are dealing with USPS, not UPS.

UPS told me at one time,it would take up to eight

mos.to track down a missing parcel.Mean while my customer is getting more upset every day.I ordered her another piece and have not used UPS since

This time of the morning I just keep ramblin on.

Just had a great 'gar.I'm wired!!!

Really , best of luck!

It was scanned after 6:00 pm? Yep, he was running late, and probably skipped some package deliveries, because he didn't want to take the extra time to bring it to the door . . . . . so, when he got back late, he scanned his packages as attempted, so he didn't get in trouble for not delivering them . . . . and, being that late, it might have been a substitute carrier, who was struggling out there. . . . put a new guy on a route on a Monday, and you see a lot of undelivered packages due to them getting flustered & running behind . . .

You should see it Tuesday . . .

Well I went down to the PO around 9 and sure enough, they had it.

Good lord. That's all I can say. Look for another thread about the contents.
