IMHO the one on the left does not have the contrast and color definition that the one on the right has. My vote: the one on the right. Although I must add that both are really cool and beat the crap out of any P.O.S tray I am using. Good work guys, and I will email you for instructions, I would like one too. Mike

I tried this!! But whenever I put a cigar in the ashtray, it burns the bands! What good is an ashtray you can't use?

I like them both, but favor the one on the left...

I wonder if the clear 4 finger ashtrays might be readily available at one of those .99cent stores?

Or maybe at a restaurant supply?

(Not here in California of course due to our Smoke-Nazis)

I gotta say I like the one on the left, even with the Mac band. But I would chanege my vote for a peg leg

So I made my second ashtray last night...the glue is drying as we speak. I think it's going to look better than the last (the one on the left), but I have one problem. After I got done sealing the bottom portion (with the bands) to the ashtray, I saw a band hiding behind my glass of water on my coffee table. It was the Padron Annive 64 band I wanted to use. Needless to say, I was quite upset with myself.

Ashtray #2 is drying a lot faster. i didn't seal the edges along the bottom this time. I'll do that when it has totally dried. If you want directions, drop me an email:

Looks good. The one on the right caught my eye.

I have several hundred bands so e-mail sent.
