He said some things that were ill advised. Then of course Iraq TV used them in the worst possible context. I guess he should have expected it. He seemed very contrite, very genuinely sorry. I don't think it can get any worse for him.

Not to defend his "dumb" ass, but what did he expect by adding to the Iraqi Propaganda Pool with his comments?

He did seem real contrite and genuinely shaken, but was that because he did not know how or when he would get out of Baghdad or something else.
