Vintage Davidoffs, Dang! You have expensive taste. Well I do have a very good source for them but he is expensive. They are for sale but I guess if the trade was worth it i could buy some for you. However, I'm telling you they are really pricey.

Did you want anything in particular or should I just let you know what he has and how much they are. By the way I wouldn't make anything off the cigars it would just be as a courtesy. I do want to protect my source though.

Best regards,

20yrs or so. I saw some Davidoff Dom Perignon's on the Y auction site go for $150 per cigar. A box of ten for $1200. These are from 1985. A little too rich for my blood. BTW,these were rated a 98 by CA. X

Title rep - I got so excited I typed in the wrong thing. Yes I am interested in buying a couple of these or trading for OPUS or Fuente Hemmingway?? Or sports collectibles - what other vices does your friend have besides cigars?

Any number of 1980s Cuban Davidoffs are available from English tobacconists. Plan on paying a minimum of $100.00 per cigar for small sizes, even those that have not received rave reviews. Very few are ever smoked. They are generally bought and sold as collectibles. Fakes are also readily available. Unless you have a palate conditioned by years of smoking fine aged Cuban cigars, it's very difficult to discern that an eight year old Cuban Cohiba robusto has been rebanded with a perfect copy of a Davidoff band.

I just saw in a prior post you wrote Davidoffs from the early 90s...??????? Better check the history of Davidoff's move from Cuba.

Thanks Steve for the info. I hadnt considered this possibility although I am sure you are right. I just was thinking to when my brother in law went to Malaysia and brought back Davidoffs that were Cuban. They could have been older, but they were the best i have ever had and I was loking to recreate the memories. Will England send cigars to the US? How do you bid if the export is illegal?

David,

I lived in Malaysia for 5 years. I completely understand what you mean. I was so used to smoking the Cuban cigars there that when i came home if found the DR's lacking. That's why I have my Monte's sent to me every month. By the way, because of the tax and duty, Malaysia is not really all that cheap. I have a friend who has the largest walk-in humidor in the country and even he can't get me good prices.

I have located a source for Davidoff, Dunhill, and other aged, incredibly expensive Cuban cigars. I'll certainly pass on the information, if you are interested. I'll need an e-mail address.
