And, for those who may have missed her statement on the isuue, it can be found on this thread:

All but one of my digital temp/hygros came from that "W" store, and were only off 1-2% in either direction after the salt test.

I also got a great deal on the Don Salvatore digital here on Cbid before people started picking up on them. Be patient and you git a good bid in when they are all sleeping...

I really don't see the need for hygrometers...

Lightly pinch the cigar and just go by feel, no need spending 20 bucks on something other than cigars...

I fully agree ...

To be honest with you all, I very seldom even look at my hygrometers (10 to be exact) ...

... I just make sure the oasis blocks are filled every week, and let it go at that.

The 'pinch/squeeze/gently bite' test is all I need to go by to see if they are doing OK ...

ROBBY! DON'T EVEN GO THERE!!! LOL!!!

I believe in them myself. It's one more tool to let me know what's going on in the coolerdor. It seems to me that if you squeeze your cigars to check and see how they're doing,by the time they get to be crunchy,it's too late. X

when they are crunchy they hold up better in milk so you don't get a soggy breakfast like those dumb wheaties.

They have them in near the thermometer's......bought one for 15.00 dollars and it worked so well I bought another for my 2nd humidor. It has a digital readout for both temp and hum. with 24 hr highs and lows.

heh, the way I look at it, I have a MAJOR investment in my cigars. And proper storage protects that investment. The minimal investment in and use of a digital hygrometer is a no-brainer. And I'm imminently qualified to make that judgment 🙂 Takes the guess work out of it.

Here is a reason to not shop at WalMart. They are a pretty awful company, catastrophically awful, in fact:

I too have a MAJOR investment, and I own hygrometers, but I rarely pay attention to them or use them. My setups are stable and maintain my cigars perfectly...

I believe you'll find the hygrometer in the garden section. That's where I saw them some time ago.

That's what cbid needs...a garden section!
Then all of these problems are solved.
