I lied again! Hehe!

This is an African artifact that my wife and I bought a while back.

I guess youve figured out its not really spin the bottle. But this may be the African version.

This is a weighted top on a pedistal that spins when you twist the top. We have used it to be the tie breaker when my wife & I disagree on little things like what to watch on tv, Hehe!

It is a very unusual artifact that I thought might be interesting.

Do any of you collect artifacts or antiques of any kind?

LOL, believe it or not, I also have a set of the 2 wood statuettes on the back table. My parents had them. The guy's arm broke in my last move. Made me angry.

E, I'll keep the pics comming in. Glad you like them.:>) I may have to get that TiVo set up.

ducati996, those african statues are cool. They do break easily. The wood is very hard, so thin areas are brittle.

nice looking collection. matching carpet and pillow. have you been watching "trading places". how old does it have to be to be called an artifact, or is age not important?

RICKAMAVEN --- all 'artifact' means, is it is an object of human workmanship ...

Nice 'decor' BTW ...

I collect little boxes (me and my boxes - Slim, is it another Freudian thing?) when we travel. Usually something handcrafted from the area. Then, we fill it with the beach sand, shells, beer caps, or other little momentos, etc..from the places that we've visited. Then, we glue a pic to the inside of the lid if there is space...

Makes for a nice little 'escape' when it's cold out or it's been a rough day...open the lid, run your fingers through the sand, and daydream...ahhhhh..........

ducati996 --- it's still an artifact, if it was made by humans! It may not be an rare ancient aritfact, or one that is valuable ... but it's still an artifact.
