Has anyone ever tried any of these ISOM's. Just wanted to know what the feedback on these were to help me decide before I purchase.
Thanks.

Hi,

No personal experiance, but have seen several posts that trashed them. I hope it's not true. I like the Perdomo product.

I missed the trashing posts?

I've smoked the Unicos and the Famosos. A really top-notch cigar. Not quite Trinidad or Cohiba (what is?), but a fine smoke. For the dollar, I don't think there is a better Cuban cigar. My take, anyway. The tobacco is from the Robaina estate, one of the very finest in the Pinar del Rio district.

They are pretty cigars. Lots of cocoa flavors, well aged and cedary. Love 'em.

My two cents.

I think Jim just missed the title of the thread, isom Vegas Robaina, not "ISOMS" by Perdomo. The former receiving much praise, not so much for the latter. I have tried neither, so unfortunately this is as helpful as I can be.

Concur wholeheartedly with JD, but for me, the VR Famoso and my soon to be favorite, the Unicorn, are the best value in Havanas out there. These are full-bodied masterpieces loaded with flavors and right down my alley.

Lot of people like them. I think the Monte #2 or PSD would be better choices if you haven't tried any of them yet.

Had several nice Famosos from "a friend in Germany" and they were simply the best I've had. Must be the excellent age that was on them. I think the Monty's or PartyDs I'v had in the past were still too young--didn't do it for me like the Famoso.

They're good, but not my favorite Habano. I'll give them 6 out of 10 JLow's on the Cuban scale.

I've had a couple and they were nice. I have a buddy that puts them at the top of his favorite list. Not the first ISOM cigar I would choose. Just was up in Canada and had a Monte #2 and a R & J Exhibicion 2001 robusto. The Monte was great and the R & J was very good. Still want to try a Trinidad. Have had Partagas, ERDM, San Luis Rey and Bolivars. I would say Robainas are among the best, but I like Montes (aged), Partagas, and Bolivars a little better.
