Gents, I thought I would share a picture of my two desktop humidors. I assembled both of them myself and each is large enough to hold a few cigar boxes as well as individual sticks. I have seasoned them thouroughly but I guess i have not had them long enough for them to maintain humidity very well. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Bill

Thanks for the suggestion. I have spoken with the tobacconist that sold me these, and he has said, that since they are made of solid Kardwood(sp?), it may be that they may take a bit more time to adjust to the humidity. According to him, too much water can be hazardous to this type of wood, which though sturdy, is also very lightweight and absorbant. He says a more gradual aproach is neccessary with SOLID Kardwood. I told him about your comments and he suggested you may be used to dealing with Kardwood lined humidors. If possible you should upgrade to SOLID as soon as possible. Mine are great!

unklebill, I've got the same humidors, they had a special when I bought mine, "if you buy 2, you get a prime real estate claim to the Brooklyn Bridge". The offer was too good to pass up. My humidors are pretty weird, they seem to keep the same RH as the room, I just can't figure it out. LM F'N AO!!!! 🙂

Nice Dor's man... Hey have ya tried using Paraphane Wax to get a better seal on them?? maybe you could have your Kids, or the Neighbors Kids use crayons to completely cover the box's in picture's; Thus adding a wax seal to them.. they sure look pretty economical tho... LMAO........ Laterzzzzz

Hey, those are nice. I have the smaller
version in my drawer here at work. If you are having a problem keeping the humidity inside, I would try getting those cigars into a bag. Then place them in your humidor. Then wrap lots of Saaa-ran-WRAP around the outside. Then get the Xxc24k-1AB humidor, which is slightly bigger than the xxC14K-1ab model, and place the smaller humidor in the bigger humidor. Ya, that's it.... I would try that.

PS- Aren't those guys in marketing of the AB series smart ? They make them do'rs look like boxes so
people at work dont mess with your sticks.
