I just pulled an unbanded robusto 5X50 out of a humidor (this was a freebie from someone) and walked out back to light it up. It smelled ok and looked like it was rolled nicely with a maduro wrapper...................but, I lit this POS and it tasted so damn bad that I tossed it over the fence into the street....not even deserving of a mulch pit or anything, just hope a car ran over the smelly bomb.

This had to be the worst and most foul tasting, crappy cigar I have ever had in my mouth. This ever happen to one of you guys or gals?

Yes it has.

Its why I call them PerDONTmos...nasty, gritty, rancid thing.
Its worse than getting that one bad sunflower seed in the bag!

Charlie:

Hence, that's why I stay away from "unband" cigars unless I know what box they came out from.

Try an Edgar. It will make that cigar seem wonderful by comparison.

I have found some pretty nice unbanded ones as well, but this one may have stopped the curiosity for a long time.
