- that's the only fish I know with lenscaps that big in a freshwater environment - then again, the lure is a little rusty so it could be a saltwater fish ...

- I'd have left it on there and just recast it with a bobber and see if he came back to take the bait ...

Had the same thing happento me the other day but, my eyeball wasnt quite as big as yours!!

Not me on that cast - was only sent the pick ... that's why I made the comment that I didn't know whether or not it was fresh or saltwater (i.e., the rust on the lure) ....

I'd have still recast the eyeball on the hook ... not like a fish would think twice about eating it ... think about it - it would be sorta like taking Grandma's dentures at dinner time and NOT expecting her to come after them? YEA right .... use the right bait and you can catch anything ... LOL
