What is the proper pronunciation of "Bock y Ca"? The Bock part is not the problem. I had 2 guys in a local cigar shop fighting over this. Is it KA, SA, Cha, or Sha? Or even with a a long A as in Kay, Say, Chay or Shay?
BTW, the maduros are pretty tasty, I thought.

The Maduros are good cigars, but I have no idea other than Bock!

I just did a search and found a listing saying that ca is a popular abbreviation for casa. If that's true in this case, I would think it is pronounced as KAH.

Now for a related question, how about the pronunciation of Opus X? "Opus ex", "Opus ten", "Opus diez" (like cinco vegas)? I always take the easy way out and just call them "Opus". But then there's the XXX which could be "triple-x", "ex ex ex", "thirty", "treinta", "tres equis" (hope not, I'm not a dos equis fan).

Geez, I'm thinking way too much here. I think I better just go outside and have a smoke!

It would seem that I'm not the only one who's confused. Any bi-linguals out there?

I had 3 years of spanish & high school & am finishing up my 4th semester in college (and my last, thank goodness). If I remember correctly it would be pronounced KAH. I believe that part of Spanish is the same as English, the "C" only makes an "S" sound when followed by an "E" or "I". I'm fairly confident that the correct pronounciation would be KAH, however, I can't promise it, so if anyone fluently speaks Spanish, feel free to correct me.

I think ca is a shortened form of casa or house.
