On the golf course today one of my foursome asked to "borrow" a cigar. I said help yourself, and he did. He pulled out 1 of the 2 Ovation maduros that I had with me. As he stood in a shaft of sunlight while firing it up I saw the cigar was glittering with bloom. I grabbed the other one to check it out. YES! More bloom! That cigar carried me through 5 holes of the ****tiest golf I've played for awhile. It was a great consolation to me. Things just didn't seem so bad while enjoying that great cigar.

Concur with THL; the blue label O maddies ploom out really nice. The red-label exhibit some ploom but nothing like the maddies. Awesome!

I just got 2 of the Oliva red label cigars and now don't know if I want to try them.

Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

It's a win win, consider the madie "Biance(sp)" and the natural oh I don't know, let's go for Brittney. Which do you do first? And do you really lose when you do the other?

Slim said, "HarleyRed hasen't even posted on this thread ... and he may not even see your post.

What not post your thread over on the 'Trades' board with his username in the subject, and I'll bet you get a quicker response ... "

The softer side of Slim or the most subtle "Slim Slap" yet - LOL

Well we must avoid any more of thos Os at any cost help spread the word. No more Os will be bid on untill all that radioactive dust settles. I will pick up all the remaining ones to check for radition. Its a risk but i will be the one to make sure no harm comes to any of my fellow brothers of the leaf.

Six months ago I won a box for $67, now you can't touch them for close to that.

I just picked up a big red label torpedo at my local shop. The band now has "bold" written across the center of the cloth O. Nice to see some truth in advertising. These babies make me loopy.

I found a box of one of the red label smaller size at a local shop the other day that also had the word "Bold" on it. Since all the Oliva "O" I've seen do not have it, I inquired and was told that it was an older release before the Oliva "O".

Looks like we have a mystery on our hands.

By the way, since these cigars are toxic and potentially radioactive, I was just buying it to try to take another one off the streets for the protection of mankind. The cigar has already been properly disposed of but I do still have the band.

I've not seen the bold on the label, but I had some of the old label Os. They do not have the gold shiny trim on them. These babies are nicely aged and fantastic smokes. You say the new label has "bold" written on it? I'll keep an eye out for it.

Oh, and I asked whether it was a new blend, but he said it was the same old blend with a new band. Whether he really knew or not is uncertain. It was the first time I visited this particular shop (plus they don't carry Bucs, but were willing to be convinced:))

I've had a couple of tight drawing O's, but other than that, the flavors are always wonderful. Well-made cigars, for the money. IMHO.

Alright, I did some surfing and here is a c&p of what I could find. Looks like they are not only a new band, but also new blend. I recommend 'em (but that doesn't count for much).

"The NEW Oliva Family O Bold has finally arrived. This new version of the classic O is all power and flavor. Re-blended for a true full body taste, this Puro brings the flavor. Made of all Cuban Seed Habano fillers and finished with Sun Grown Habano wrapper. Intended for those looking for a premium cigar capable of delivering all the flavor of a full body cigar, without any of the harshness. As before, these fine cigars are elegantly finished with an embroidered satin label and encased in humidor-finish cases of 25."

and another:

Oliva O Omni cigars represent one of the finest and now 'boldest' editions from the Oliva Family, renown for their superb fillers, wrappers and hand craftsmanship. Oliva O Omni cigars are puros blended with 100% Cuban-seed Habano tobacco grown in Nicaragua with an extra-hearty binder leaf for a full bodied smoke that's amazingly smooth. This is achieved by aging all the tobaccos for 5 years. If you love smooth, rich flavor and oily, mouthwateing wrappers try 'O' Bold now!"
