It's a matter
of degrees
That's true
That's true
It's taken
To extremes
And that's why we
Work so hard to
Take that love away
Take that love away
Take that love away
Take that love away

I don't know why I love her like I do

All the changes you put me through

Take my money, my cigarettes

I haven't seen the worst of it yet

I wanna know that you'll tell me

I love to stay

Take me to the river, drop me in the water

Take me to the river, dip me in the water

Washing me down, washing me down

growing up in South Central, I'll always favor Al Green's take on a song over Talking Heads...

I'm embarrassed now to admit that David Byrnes' facial tics and odd head movements were big distractions and was a factor in how I viewed that band...he said late in his career that he had Aspergers/autism...

Oddly enough, it was those quirky movements by Byrnes that attracted me to them. I was a fan from their 1st album but when I finally got to see videos or concert clips, I just thought it was a cool gimmick by DB. To me, the rhythms of the THeads and Brynes' moments were made for each other.
