it is funny, even though it's twisted.

until i got my pet birds, i was ever without at least one cat, always siamese.

one of the highlights of the trip to vegas, was a cat that i have seen at the apartments where we always stay, wandered into our apartment last thursday. he was thin, and had crust all over his eyes.

after we pet him, he marked almost everything in the room, including my face and arms.

i cleaned all the junk from his eyes and he sat still letting my wash his eyes. he wouldnot eat or drink anything and he sneezed a lot. i did not have time to take him to a vet, but after he slept on my lap for a few hours, he drank milk and ate some cat food. i always carry a can of cat food with me.

over the next few days, he ate more and the sneezing stopped. all he did was sleep, except every so often he would leave the apartment and come back with a small piece of styrofoam peanut as his gift to us. i was sorry to have to leave him when we left this morning, but i'll be sure he will be around when we return there in two or three months.

as far as i know, he must live near the complex, because this is the third time i have seen him over the last few years.

that's "never" not "ever."
