I just picked up a four pack of Goose Island's Bouron County Brand Stout and it went great with Edge maduro. I'm sure this beer would go great with any full flavored cigar.

The beer is strong and the flavor starts out with a strong bourbon flavor and finishes with a smooth stout taste. It's definitely a stronger beer at 13% alcohol but it ranks as one of the best bourbon barrel stouts I've had in a while. The price is a bit of a stinger at $20 for a four pack.

You might like a Sam Adams Scottish Ale. A little hard to find, but oh so good!

^ And there was a Sam Adams Brewhouse in Philly. Grab a cigar and then go to Sam Adams. Not any more.

I'm a big fan of IPAs, Double IPAs, and Belgian tripels usually.
But they don;t go well with cigars, IMO. The Bitterness of the IPA is too harsh, and the subtleties of the tripels are killed by the smoke.

I like a nice Brown Ale. Think moosedrool or Rogue Hazlenut Brown. Barring that, an Oatmeal stout will do nicely too.

Yuengling makes a porter?!!!

I've been to Pottsville PA twice in my life.
BOTH Times I got screwed out of a tour by less than 15 minutes.
Got my AOB hat, and a cute little halter top with Yeungling on it.
My wife wears the hat...

Sam Adams, Samuel Smith, already mentioned, as well as Polygamy Porter ("Why Have Just One?") is fabulous. The latter is regional, however. A little help, Beez?

I usually go with stouts (Guinness generally) or porters but lately have gravitated to more ales. Recently I tried a new one (to me anyway, never seen it before), Samuel Adams Irish Red. Malty richness with a nice hoppy balance. Very tasty stuff and perfect with a cigar.
