I'm not commenting on the cigars themselves... but lighting them would not be a problem for me. By the time the cigar is in my mouth, it's completely lit anyway. I never puff to get it going. I use cedar sticks (that I split myself...american cedar) and I light them. Then I hold that flame under the cigar. When the entire rim of the foot is red, I start smoking. So burning lips on lighting of a one inch cigar wouldn't be a problem for me.

These cedar sticks... work excellently... might be willing to trade some...

Got the email and it DOES say One Inch!! What the hell is that. I think someone was smoking crack when they made up the price table 🙂 I looked for an email address to ask them this question but couldn't find one. They are with out a doubt WRONG. just do a google search for those specific cigars and you'll see what I mean. For example, the El Ray Del Mundo Tainos is not 1 X 46, it's 7 X 47. Hope this helps 🙂

when i relight one of yesterdays cigars that has gone out in the sh try, i cut of the carbon on the tip, and cut off part of the wet end i was chewing on, that is now almost dried out.

i light it by bringing the light into the tip from the side. it is necessary to have excellent depth perception to prevent burning your lips.

sometimes, when i have trouble lighting it, toby will hold the lighter for me and move it carefully to the tip of the cigar.

one or two puffs to get it lit and then blow through it to clean it out, and ou have at least 1/2 inch of a smokeable cigar.

i'm sure you guys have seen movies about the depression of 1929, where men wold pick up cigars from the ground that had been discarded by other smokers. they were still lit when they hit the ground and when picked up quickly. i don't recommend this practice. some of the cigars are not quality cigars and picking up an almost finished bad frog is not worth the effor

if you are one of those who throw away a perfectly good left over cigar, i'll be happy to send you a few of mine.

SP Gigante 7.1x47
SP Bachilleres 4.5x40

At least those are the stated dimensions from a couple of ISOM retailers I am familiar with. Of course I would never conceive of doing business with these establishments since that would be a violation of an existing Federal trade embargo.

I don't know about the whole list, but Davidoff in his book mentions a one inch cigar. He doesn't elaborate on the circumstances of its usage, but I have a theory. Back in the day when cigarettes were fairly new, they were considered horribly gauche, and not to be touched by a man of culture and breeding. There would be many instances (between the acts at a theater, etc.) where only a very short smoke was practical. They were probably smoked from a cigar holder. The cigar holder going out of favor with the uppercrust of course when the bums started to popularize them for getting the most out of discarded butts. As they would have been of only limited practicality, they were not very popular. I can only assume they are made today purely for the novelty.

That seems to make some sence. El Rey de Mundo also lists a "Lunch Club" cigar that's a 1"x42 ..... for the short after lunch smoke??

Ron Jeremy, I believe, smoked those 1"ers.

mrkmitch.............the ERDM Lunch Club is 4.625x42. What source are you looking at which is giving you these dimensions? If they are correct I wouldn't mind getting a couple as a novelty.
