He has shown up for work with torn ankle ligaments, torn knee ligaments, torn throwing hand ligaments, broken thumbs, doubts with addiction, and played EVERY game for the last 11 YEARS. Last night triumphed over his greatest tragedy to post his best game ever. His teammates showed their respect by rising to the occasion. One must admire this effort, no matter which team you root for. His defining moment.

There have been better seasons by others. There have been more Super Bowls...more yards...more this-that-and-the-other.......

But if I had to choose a QB for my franchise to lay it on the field year after year, #4 is my man. Not just because of last night...like it has been posted, he takes it to the limit all the time.

ditto to everything. I'm beginning to think Brett is one of the all time great sports heroes. Although I hate that athletes have to be role models - Brett emobodies what a sports role model should be. Can't say enough about him.

Even as a die hard, bleeding purple Viking fan, I have to say that not only is Brett Favre one of the best QB's ever, but also one of the best FOOTBALL PLAYERS I have had the pleasure to watch. I am usually in stunned amazment, while cursing him, as he makes yet another impossible throw to win the game. A great leader, a true lover of the game, and a sure joy to watch.

Even Oakland Raider players were talking about Brett's acomplishment when interviewed by local new reporters last night after the game. Everyone gave him the greatest respect, and he not only earned it, he deserves it.

It always bothers me when athletes get the “hero” status when soldiers and police officers don’t. With that being said, Brett is a stud. He continues to play with injuries and personal setbacks and never asks for sympathy from anyone. I watched last night’s game in awe… and found even more respect for him.

Like Beat said, Die hard Vikes fan myself but you have to recognize character when you see it. Bret's got it. Always has. Like I have said for years, if there is 2 mins left in the game, or the half, if Bret is on the field, garanteed Green bay is going to score. The passes and receptions made last night were simply unbelievable. He was great last night and although I starded the night wanting Grenn Bay to loose for the Vikings sake, I would be liar if I told you I was not rooting for Favre after the first 30 seconds. It was just good football. MK

I think Brett Favre is the best quarterback I've ever seen,based on ability,love of the game and character. Last night was a shining example. X

BTW,Da-Glyde,his father just past away at age 58.

And he decided to play anyway and dedicate the game to his father's memory. And went out and played maybe the best game of his career to date. Amazing.

We Packer fans here in Wisconsin (I grew up 2 blocks from the frozen tundra of Lambeau) have been blessed to have Brett as our quarterback. To have a man of such character play for one of the most storied franchises in all of professional sports, has been a blissful union.

Last night's performance, in the face of such emotional hardship, only serves to cement the legend that is Brett Favre.

I don't consider Bret Farve a hero, I do belive he's got excellent leadership skills, and his talent to play football is unmatched. Pshycological injuries are far more detremental to a player's game, specially for a quarter back. It is easier to play with a broken finger than with a broken spirit!! Bret Farve although not a hero, he's the best quarter back in the NFL!!!
