Funny. I heard from the liberal media and also from several on this board that Dubyas first 100 days was going to provide enough comic material for the whole 4 year term. I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet. I mean, they do say he's dumb. That he can't speak. He just gave a 50 minute address that made me feel PROUD again. They say that he can't do a thing without Daddy. Hmmm. Maybe his cabinet wouldn't look like Daddy's if the former White House occupant gave him his transition funds on time!

Are you suggesting that Bush did not get the Cabinet of his choice? And that the reason in for a lack of funding? Please explain.

Not lack of funding. Lack of time. When a President has class, they allow the President Elect to utilize the transition funds. These funds are used to organize his team and make timely and educated choices for each and every post. When those funds are held back for political reasons, it forced Bush to spend additional time raising private funds rather than having meetings about positions. When you are pushed for time, you tend to stick with the known. In this case it's Dads old regime. Not bad choices, just somewhat forced.

BS. shrub's people are selected by dad and his people.
they have enough money to buy an election and they don't have enough money to do what, give the young one a chance to select people? what nonsense. what has money got to do with his picking his nose or people, goobers are goobers. forget the clinton white house not giving him the money on time. next you'll be blaiming the cinton white house for shrub's inability to speak english real good, after all they were in charge of the education system. no, wait, he went to school during reagan's presidency. maybe we should all start talking badily, not real good, and i could mix my tenses and teach kids to read so he can pass a literacy test and speak as good or gooder then me can. face it the boy is a dope. "my child was at or near the bottom of his class, but became the president" he read a 50 minute speech someone wrote for him and he really concentrated on the word "contingency". he glowed when he got it right.

Which of the nominees do you suggest were forced? It is rediculous to suggest that Bush or his admin. is strapped for cash.

Will you guys go hug a tree or something??? LOL (deja vu) We put up with 8 years of BS. Let us have some time to bask in our glory. You are welcome to come along for the ride. The only speeches Al Gore gives are at the unemployment office. "W" is the man!!

Man oh Man, that guy's got so much cash he dont' know what to do with it. Maybe he's got it buried already in the Rose Garden. He was picking his Cabinet (and his nose probably), when he was running around with that big band-aid on his face. Maybe that's why it was so tough, he got scratched, got Cat Scratch Fever and forgot where he was...hmmmm...This guy couldn't debate with an Alzheimer's victim. give me a break....

Uncle, it's not the money per se. It's the funding to put together a group of people to do nothing more than sit around and pick the best qualified cabinet. It even has a name: "Transition Fund". Go look it up if you still don't get it. Clinton should have used his more wisely, else we wouldn't have had our last Attorney General or others that failed him over the years. As for you Rick, you'll have to choose another poison. Dubya shook his "dumb" stigma quicker than a democrat hands out cigarettes for votes. You'all are sounding a tad bitter that Al "can't win my own state" Gore lost. Suck it up! You should welcome morality and character back to Pennsylvania Avenue. It's been a LOOONG time.

the money to sit around and do nothing? these people are so rich they can sit around for the rest of their lives. this team was picked way back when the plans were set it motion to buy the presidency. "choose another poison. Dubya shook his "dumb" stigma" you are joking, aren't you. and who keeps telling me to hug a tree. i don't know what that is all about.
gore is and was a dope. he got conned by the clintons, since you all like initials we will refer to them as the DD (dirty duo). if bush's handlers or baby sitters whatever they are called had not put out all the bs about mccain and his being against breast cancer research, guess who would be president. now shrub is (and i mean the puppet masters pulling his strings) trying to go after anything mccain tries to get done. bush will have a short presidency only a little more than three years to go, and he is gone.

Can't argue with ONE thing, Rick. McCain should have been the chosen one. It's one of the reasons that I do not register as Republican, but rather Independent. Bush's camp did do a down and dirty when they attacked McCain. I think it was in poor taste, and I hope he someday acknowledges his wrongdoings. In the meantime, why can't you let the country move forward without crying about a "bought" election. For cripes sakes, if you want to break it down to the fundamentals, ALL elections are bought. (special interests, false promises, huge advertising campaigns, kissed babies, fake smiles and pansy handshakes, just to name a few). Gore, however, was the righthand man to the "popular" president who according to you singlehandedly kept the economy going. Yet he somehow couldn't beat this "mentally challenged" daddy's boy (I'm para-phrasing), even with the highest ever turnout by the Great Democratic Experiment (welfare)! I hope your pride has not left with you role model Bubba. I hope you can be proud to be an American someday. Until then, get some more material. I feel like I'm having a battle-of-Wits with the UNARMED...(sorry, couldn't resist....)

I can't believe people are still bitchin' about GWB. All "Big Al" had to do was win either his or Clinton's home states. I guess the people of Tenn. and Ark. knew something we didn't. I also think Florida would not have been so close if all the retired New Yorkers had not infiltrated.I keep hearing about how gore won the popular vote. He won Cal. and N.Y. by over 3mil. votes and lost the rest of the country by almost 2mil. The right man is on the job. Do you really think we would be talking about tax cuts right now if it wasn't for the repulicans? Give me a break. nuff said

i am proud of my country, but like my home, some times it needs a new roof, a touch of paint, and the grass mowed. as far as role models, i am my own role model.
